A friend and I visited yesterday for the "hive therapy" experience. The owner met us in the driveway with a container of fresh picked gooseberries. He gave us a tour, explaining all the way, about permaculture, sustainability, etc. His 3 acres contain fruit bushes and fruit trees, two ponds, ducks, chickens, geese, quail, rabbits. He showed us how the mushroom growing process works. After hive therapy, he welcomed us to pick golden raspberries or to just sit under the ceiling fans on the porch. What a view! And, very peaceful. A racoon family lives in a tree, an owl in one of the bird boxes, and a family of flying squirrels in another box. His dog has befriended the pig. This is a must visit and bring the kids!
