Where to start. Our friends took my husband & I here for his retirement dinner. We took a tour of the grounds and it was everything I love. The regenerative farming, the nutrient rich soils creating flavors in the vegetables the average person will most likely never experience. (And the taste proved it!) The knowledgeable staff on the tour were lovely. The way they carbonize animal bones to make their own china from a resident artist is just so cool to me. The freshly ground flour from wheat berries, using all the nutrients in the wheat to make bread that knocked my socks off.
Now the dinner… we had the wine pairing. We are not new to good food & have eaten at what is considered pretty nice restaurants… yet here were new flavors I couldn’t describe. We enjoyed each new presentation and every delicious new experience. The staff was attentive and informative and kindly answered questions about each new dish & wine pairing.
This was truly an amazing experience I hope many people try at least once in their lives.

What an impressive farm, restaurant and wait staff. Excellent service, unique dishes, and I ate the best roasted parsnips I ever had. Our server Giada? Was excellent; very knowledgeable and explained the parsnips were wintered over and that's why they were so flavorful. My favorite dish were the gar leeks and the brown butter for their delicious house bread.
Everything about my experience here showed me that the owner is very passionate about growing food and cooking it to perfection. (We watched the Netflix documentary on Blue Hill Farm and could really appreciate just how passionate he really is...Thank you for living your dream so we could be a part of it.
Giada welcomed us to go visit their indoor greenhouse which happens to be the largest in the country. Next time we will plan to arrive earlier and go on the tour. This was the most memorable dinner I ever had in my life...it was a splurge but I will always treasure taking the train up the Hudson River from Grand Central station to Tarrytown and took an Uber.

An incredible dining experience. Top 3 in my life. The staff was so accommodating in every way, from getting a reservation til the end of dinner. Everyone involved has true passion for the ingredients and the process of bringing their remarkable food to table. Can’t wait to come back

Blue Hill is more of a nice farm than a nice restaurant… The farm itself is beautiful and the farm tour was cool. However, the dining experience in the restaurant was very poor. I came to the restaurant expecting good food and a nice dining experience, not necessarily for a farm tour.

I went during the winter and the food felt like it was just raw vegetables pulled from the farm and put on the table or displayed to look like a mini farm on the dining table. I understand that fresh food is great, but to me i just felt like i was eating raw veggies…

The service was also VERY slow. Not sure if something went wrong in the kitchen the day I was there, but my table had to wait 20 minutes in between courses which I do not experience at other fine dining establishments.

In the middle of the dining experience, the servers took us to another dining location to have another salad, however the terrible part was that the server told us that we were going to be ā€œeating in the manure shedā€. MANURE SHED. I don’t understand why the server would say something so disgusting during a MEAL. I understand that the shed is no longer a manure shed and is safe for dining now and that maybe the manure shed was meant to be part of the farm experience, however please do not tell people that they are entering and dining in a manure shed in the middle of their meal.

If I had to return, I would only partake in the farm tour and not the dining experience.

Came on here to give a voice to the cafe experience as well! Stone barns has been my safe haven for years coming here to walk around and admire their grounds. Finally got to try the food at their cafe and I was very impressed by their careful curation of the lunch tray. Everything is meticulously made to leave you wanting more, rightfully so. We enjoyed the acorn squash soup and the creative flair of the bean hummus. The vibrant colors lighted up the gloomy day. Overall highly recommend this nice Sunday morning experience to warm up during the chilly winter months!

I had been dying to try this place and am so glad I did. I’ve been to their location in the city but never here. The food is incredible! And don’t be worried that it won’t be enough —it’s plenty! I got the wine pairing and it was also top-notch. The service is impeccable and the location is beautiful. If I lived closer I’d be a regular here!

One of my favorite wedding venues, hands down! After working with over 400 couples at various venues in the Northeast, I can say that Blue Hill is one of the best in terms of location, parking, services, food, hospitality and having a stunning estate. If you're looking for a wedding venue, this is one you should absolutely check out!

We had lunch and did the tour, together created a very nice experience, and would highly recommend this combo.
Tour was fairly short, but still, we learned quite a bit, and it was very cool to visit the kitchen and learn there as well. Lunch was excellent and affordable relative to dinner. For the entire tray, you pay $42 and get an open faced sandwich, 2 salads, soup, and a desert. All the dishes were amazing. You can also buy some fresh produce or things like honey and granola in their store.
