Large variety of Indian foods to choose from. They also have mithai options. Roti was soft and flavorful and paneer was delicious. Try a mixed variety of their mithai it's delicious.

Excellent chaat and pakoras. The gulab jamun was ok and the Falooda was basically just milk. The dhokla was a little sweet for my taste, but it was soft and fluffy. I would definitely go back for the mixed chaat and the sev puri, but I would pass on the sweets

Nice Bengali sweets spot. They also have many savory snacks options. The decor is okay, good enough to have a quick sit down snack but it's mostly designed as a takeout place. There are many different sweet options and pricing is reasonable. Service is good.

"Our family's craving led us to Bengali Sweet @ Indian Food Restaurant for a satisfying meal. We indulged in their signature Bengali parathas with a side of dahi papdi chaat, a treat for our taste buds. The staff and cashiers made us feel at home with their warm personal touch. The owner was always available to recommend their delicious dishes. After dinner, we resisted the temptation of sweets, saving it for our next visit. Instead, we ended our meal with a refreshing Thums Up, an Indian soda worth the splurge. Although pricey, we were happy to support a small business that serves food with love. Our trip to Hicksville, NY, was wonderful, and we look forward to returning!"

Received a 2lb box of sweets from a friend and it has mold on it for Diwali. How can sweets go bad in 2 days? This is ridiculous!!! Disgusting old sweets. Im sure because of Diwali they ripped people off and increased their prices but to sell shit under the name of a festival and rip people off is horrible.

Loved the food here. We traveled from Brooklyn to try out this place. We ordered chole bhature, signature mix paratha, samosa and salted lassi. The paratha was huge with a mixed stuffing of potato, radish, cabbage and onions, served with a side of yogurt and pickle. Absolutely delicious, we loved every bite. The chole bhature was flavorful and we savored every morsel of the fresh and puffy bhatures. The salted lassi felt very refreshing with a hint of mint in it. The samosa was hot and crispy but the potato stuffing was low on salt and spices. Maybe they can improve on that. The chutneys on the side were yum. Very friendly servers and quick service.

This place is a five. I don't want to give them a five but they earned it. This 5 stars means alot, just on the simple fact that in this competitive Desi neighborhood of restaurants. All the Desi people say this one is the best place. Anyone have any legitimate competition for this place? The selection, the cleanliness, the taste, the service, all top notch for the community. Maybe, just maybe, Im wrong. If, by some stretch of the imagination, you know any better places with this style food around Hix please, let me know! =)
