My partner and I had an extremely memorable experience tasting wines here! Stephan is a master of wines, conversation, and book recommendations. I am looking forward to reading one of those recommended books over a glass of the bedford syrah we brought home!

Thank you sincerely for the lovely time.

The wine was exceptional and the service was amazing. Had the pleasure of being provided the tasting by the owner and we loved hearing about the vineyard and story behind the wines. Left with a couple bottles it was so good. Thanks Stefan for the experience!

Great small winery! There's not many wineries around that you can sit and chat with the winemaker on any given day. Stephen has been making amazing wines for many years in Santa Ynez valley, and is a food historian. Love this place!

We've been going to Bedford for many, many years. Steven Bedford is the owner and he's also there to pour and tell you all about the wines. We're also members of their club - we enjoy it that much.

We were driving back from Bend, OR, where we picked up a car. We stopped by Bedford to see what new wines he had. We were greeted by Steven and his super friendly demeanor - what a great guy! He asked us if we wanted indoor or outdoor - we decided outdoor. It was a gorgeous day and we felt blessed to be in such a beautiful place. He had some grapes for his guests to try - we tried them all - Chardonnay, Grenache and Pinot Noir. He told us about the grapes, where they were grown - personally, I thought the Pinot Noir grapes had a very unique flavor that I really liked. She liked the Grenache, because they were a bit riper and of course sweeter!

Steven, poured us a 2017 Chardonnay, which was very well made. Not the over oaked, buttery chard, but a nice crisp chard with some fine nuances.

Next was the 2012 Pinot Noir. This was my favorite - well made, great aroma (smells like Pinot from the area), delicious with a lot of complexity, but it's also a little softer, due to the age! Fantastic Pinot!

Next was the 2012 Merlot. Another excellent wine, aged well and nice complexity. Also has the aroma of the area. Nothing like the grocery store merlot we've come to expect.

He poured us a blend that he made for his dad. A very nice blend, well balanced and some nice complexity. Another stellar wine.

We enjoyed all four and we're looking forward to another trip to Bedford.

We highly recommend going to Los Alamos and seeing Steven Bedford. Enjoy his delicious wines and join his club.

Exquisite wines with deep character that are always eminently drinkable. Lucio, Helen, and Stephan (the winemaker) are among the friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They made us feel like family on our first visit and we joined their club on the spot based on their service and the quality on Stephan's wines. This is a must visit for us every visit to the Santa Barbara wine country.

I always have a wonderful time in this charming tasting room. It's one of the oldest ones around, and it's always been consistent. The Grenache is the best in town, and Mr. Bedford is fun to talk to about everything from books to pinot clones!
