I have been wanting to come here for years and finally made it. Did not disappoint. They were very accommodating to a family member who couldn’t make it to sit on the lawn. Wonderful tastings and we actually left with a few bottles. I’m never a fan of Chardonnay and loved theirs and took a bottle home. Wonderful staff and atmosphere.

Pros: Nice location with a great view overlooking their vineyard. Huge, pretty covered patio. When the weather is good, tables are set up in the grass along the grapes so you can sit in the sun.

Bonus pros: No reservations/fee required. Oysters on the deck.

Cons: We ordered a couple flights, and everyone in the group of 5 agreed: None of the wines were good or enjoyable. Several tasted watered down, which tells me they aren't giving production enough time (short season wines, but still).

Overall Impression: Definitely visit to grab a bottle or two and sit outdoors with a few friends while overlooking beautiful scenery. I would not take a bottle home, however.

Great winery and a go too in the area. We had a fantastic afternoon there from a delicious charcuterie board to delicious wines. While we did not dabble in any of the reds what we did have was easily a 90+ and up wine.

Spectacular setting for wine drinking. The porch is beautiful and the view is very nice.

The wines are diverse and will not be mistaken with one another.

Lovely and large winery. They had live music and lovely views. They do enforce the new law about having to buy food with your first alcohol purchase. They sell local potato chips for $2. They are being very safe with their covid precautions and they have everyone fill out a form for contact tracing.

Beautiful and spacious winery. Plenty of tables and seats outside that are spaced out for social distancing. You order and bring the food and drinks to your table. It was nice to be outside with friends in months.

So disappointed. The salami and cheese they serve are literally grocery store bought and served to you like that. Inside a plastic box. They don’t even open it and put it on a plate for you to pretend is nice. There’s no tasting. The flights are just given to you all at once (all 4 glasses at once) and no explanation whatsoever on the wines. It’s a nice looking place but only if you sit outside. If it’s cold or rainy DO NOT go. The inside is very small and uncomfortable. It’s like a bar where you pay for your wine at the counter and then go drink your wine. It’s not the experience I wanted at a winery, I personally wanted the experience of having someone explain the wine to us and a cozy experience. Besides, the wines are were not good. Truly. Borghese Winery just 10min away was 100% better, the wines were amazing, the service and the ambience as well.

On a Friday afternoon myself and 8 friends had a wonderful time at Bedell! Alexandra explained all of our options, the different wines and food. Our group was able to enjoy flights as well as bottles. I would recommend Bedell to anyone out on the North Fork.
