Best crab legs, burgers, and oysters in Alaska. I was visiting, yup a tourist. We found this place and let me tell you. The king crab bucket is incredible. The service is unmatched. They are fun, attentive, and actually care. The food is delicious. Very very fresh. The oysters are great sized and incredibly fresh. Overall, I don't think there is a bad item on the menu. We went back for a total of three times here in our week vacation.

We stopped for a quick bite, late lunch. My friend and I shared a garden salad, which was crisp and fresh, in each got a cup of the chowder. The chowder was delicious. It had wonderful flavor, the perfect thickness and consistency. Certainly worth returning for.

Came in for a quick lunch and was actually quite surprised by this little gem. Server was quick and really good, but our only ding to this great place was the seasoning of the food. Looks like our meals lacked a little salt. But still, overall a good place

Food was amazing!! We were pleasantly surprised. Sushi was good, and we got a burger, poke bowl, Cajun pasta, and a burger and everyone was very happy with their food.

I had the opportunity to eat here on my last day visiting Alaska and this did not disappoint. From the variety of food to the quality of service, this place hit all the right marks! The chowder and the ahi tuna were incredible, and the King crab was absolutely worth it! In comparison to other places around Alaska, this one was definitely the least expensive King crab I've seen as well as being the best tasting! All the servers were exceptional including Kat, Michael, Carla, and I even had the pleasure to talk with the chefs Alex and Moe! They really are an exceptional team and I definitely recommend this restaurant for families and individuals alike!

Awesome food!! The staff was very friendly and informative. We eat there 3 times during our trip. The chowder was the best I have ever had and the pasta was amazing. Go if you are in the area.

The food at Basecamp Eatery is excellent — one of the best spots to eat in Girdwood. The Alaskan king crab is a fantastic deal, with a full pound for just $79 or the bucket for three at $210, which includes shrimp and is great for sharing. The chowder was also outstanding — rich, hearty, and full of flavor.

The staff are friendly and supportive, and service throughout our meal was prompt and warm.

The only downside is the ventilation — unfortunately, you’ll leave smelling like the kitchen, which takes away a bit from an otherwise great experience. This has to be looked at!

Still, for the food quality, value, and service, it’s definitely worth visiting.

Food was great. We got the salmon dip, Alaska burger and chowder because of all the fantastic reviews. They were definitely busy but managed to be accommodating and provide good service. Chowder was good.
