Initially I felt real good shopping in the famous Balducci"s, UNTIL I was checking out. I had a problem with adding the "hot food" to my bill so I was looking around for someone to help me. In a few seconds a lady came straight to me Nice, right? I told her I could not add my hot plate to my bill. She search & found it and even offered me a discount if I scan the code...real sweet. THEN she started searching the camera on the self check out register to see if I had Indeed scan all my items she even asked if I did...but why check the cameras when u could check the items listed with my present goods The stranger thing was the lady who worked in the food section came there too
She whispered to the lady who was helping me & she came back and rechecked my order looking at the cameras again. I felt soooo profiled. That was the last time I will ever go back to the famous BALDUCCI'S Pslmer Ave; Scarsdale.
WOW...always hear of things like this but didn't know it could happen to me

I typically order from this store for company events and though the quality of food is great, they are exceedingly late with deliveries and rarely deliver within the delivery window (30min-1hr late). I've found upon calling to inquire they do not know the status of their drivers regardless if you order directly from them which is frustrating because we're entrusting the company to cater and deliver promptly. Great food, extremely poor customer service as of late.

Lovely staff always, truly a pleasure. Great butcher's and deli counters and a diverse selection of high-end condiments. However, the fruit, veg, and dairy prices are wholly unreasonable. Like, think of a number and double it unreasonable. Shame.

Produce appearance and selections very good. Prices based on demographics perfect for environment staff curious, knowledgeable, and friendly. Plenty of check out when leaving.

if you love, gourmet food, and you love culinary arts this is the only place in Westchester. You need to go to pick up your goodies for the kitchen. One of the only places in Westchester, you can find Dartanian products.

As a regular client at this location, it never cease to amaze me how downhill your customer service at the deli has gone in the last couple of years or so. I remember people who were committed to what they were doing in the past: they were cordial to customers, and some even had a nice smile in their face (of your current employees, Jennifer and and another lady with curly hair do certainly meet such high standards of service at the moment).

One of your more recent employees, Ardita, clearly doesn't seem to enjoy her job there, as reflected in the grumpy and even condescending manners she has exhibited to me. I equally blame the management for this, for making such poor choices, let alone the fact this is Scarsdale, and not a small village in a lost rural area! Customers pay handsomely for your products. Is it too much to expect a more courteous and good-humored service from such an employee of yours at the deli?

For someone who shops for sandwiches there 2/3 times a week, it's a great disappointment that your manager hasn't been able to provide the store with a panini press or toaster oven to heat up what you advertise as "hot" sandwiches! The sandwiches are still priced the same and this has been going on for some 3 weeks now! Not even proper apologies have been extended to a regular customer like me, but almost attitudes, like I'm the "nagger" in this! At least, have people in the deli department who are able to show more empathy over something that has been a total turn off lately.

It’s a good store and they carry some great unique products but the pricing is quite high and they’re missing some major brands I have to go elsewhere for (where’s the Sabra hummus gone?).
