I have been cooking and cleaning chitterlings since I was a child and every year Holiday dinners included chitterlings. I was a customer of other brands of pre-cleaned chitterlings until my local grocery store introduced Aunt Bessie and caught my attention because they advertised being hand cleaned and the other brands I was using although stated pre-cleaned they didn’t say hand cleaned. I still had to do some cleaning but not as much as the other pre-cleaned brands so this put them at the top of my list. They have always been large tubes that cooked and tasted a little different to me and as their popularity increased they changed the packaging from white bags to red bags and I just didn’t like them anymore but couldn’t go back to my previous cleaning ritual with the other brands I ended up removing chitterlings from my Holiday dinners. This year I went on a search and found a company out of Denmark named Danish Crown. Finally someone simply cleaned the old red Wilson buckets and I have the small chitterlings I grew up on. I love them the last to times I bought them the bag was way short. I was very disappointed. I’m trying again this year seeing I have to buy 5 bags. I hope those real red and dark ones are not in the bag.

Bought Aunt Bessie's cleaned chitterlings on 2 different occasions different years,last being Thanksgiving last year. Both occasions the chitterlings were so slimmy after cooking they wouldn't stay on fork after cooking. Inedible so disappointed.

They are NOT clean! I purchased the clean, cooked ones. The membranes were still intact. The smell wasn't so strong, but we clean the membranes off. Disappointed in the quality of them.

I sent my daughter to Walmart to purchase me 6 bags (as I do every year). When I got them from her today, I was so upset…..they are suppose to be 5lb bags even before you go over them, however, these are more like 1 lb (and that’s including water) in what appears to be a very small package that says 5lbs…not even frozen are they 5lbs. I am so upset with Aunt Bessie’s. The price went up $3.00 a bag and you get less product. What a scam.

My first year buying Aunt Bessie I normally buy Uncle Lou's but Aunt Bessie is the best hands down. Yes they are a little pricey but worth it. You have a customer for life! What other products do you sale LOL!

Worst chits ever, I bought 5 red carton containers and was so disappointed I could not stomach even a forkful, so no way was I serving to my family, they were awful, they were vinegary, texture was not smooth, I spent more than I should have just to satisfy my family. What a waste of my thanksgiving food fund. I want my $ back!!!!

These are the best Chitterlings EVERERRRRR!!! Only wish I could purchase directly from the company. The stores in my area only sell them during Thanksgiving so I can never get enough.
