Driver review: 1st timer. When you first pull in you’ll see a lot to the left of the guard:main entrance. Park and check in. You’ll need a hard hat, safety glasses, steel toes and choks. If you don’t have em they can loan em to you worse case. You should see a sign that says contractor entrance or something indicating work trucks enter and exit on the left where the lot is. It was easy enough to get in and out no problem. Pay attention to the instructions and you’ll be fine. **depending on time, if you’re hungry pull up GJ restaurant there’s a large empty lot you can park at to rest or to go eat right across from the restaurant. Foods delicious. I left a review there too!

A mine in Superior AZ. There is a cool cut off road just off the road that leads to a few picnic tables and a scoop, tire overlooking the mine where workers are always working you can see the dump trucks move around trains move, trucks dump ore, provides free Binoculars to view in (welded into the earth) Free to go to pretty cool place for photos and good pictures and sceneries to take pictures of...

Would recommend!

Be prepared for 10%-12% mountain grades if coming to the mine from the north, and that's not an exaggeration. The roads here are steep, and you will be loaded heavy if you're picking up copper. Definitely check your brakes THOROUGHLY before heading here.

Required for checkin: Load pickup number, Drivers license, Tractor license plates on front and rear of tractor, registration card, trailer license plate, trailer swept thoroughly, be sure to wear long pants and closed toe shoes (steel toes preferred). Hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses are also required and will be issued if you dont have it. They will give you wheel chocks as well - you MUST use them every time you get out of the truck. I've seen people escorted out for not doing that.

The guards are nice if you come prepared and ready to be loaded. Have everything ready to go and theyll get you loaded and out of there ASAP. Show up like a slob and you'll be treated accordingly.

Massive open pit copper mining operation. Impressive to look at if already there, but not worth the drive alone to visit.

They have a "scenic overlook" about a mile north of the mine entrance. The company's security guy directed us to the overlook. There is a gravel road back to the overlook, drive slowly. If you didn't know that the overlook was here, you would miss it altogether. What a site. If you are driving through the area, make the stop. The size is awe inspiring. Be aware that the highway, although a nicely paved road, is steep and has lots of turns. Not a drive for the faint of heart.

Cheap freight.
To check in is worst than a Military Base, they ask for ID, truck registration, they take a photo of you and even your fingerprints.
For cheap load is not worth it.
