My experience:
Delivery Appointment Time: 12:00 hrs
Checked in and Bumped Dock: 1135 hrs
Unloading Began: 1146 hrs
Unloading completed: (last time I felt unloaders in the trailer) GREEN LIGHT IS ON: 1300 hrs
Checked on paperwork w/ S&R office and was told to return to the truck, someone would be to knock on the door. Checked on paperwork again at 1700 and they were ready.
Bills in hand: 1700 hrs!
To whom it may concern and if anyone at Americold actually reads these:
Please know loading and unloading these trailers for you all is the way I feed our family. This response time for the turnaround on my bills is / was awful.
A few takeaways if you’ve never been here!
*Pet friendly-they have a grassy area to walk your bets (let’s help them keep it clean please)
* Easy back, plenty of room
*If leaving a trailer they want them clean (I saw them turn one away while on their site and 3/4 full (no exceptions) undocked all the way to the end of the docks or in the overfill lot to your left after you get to the dropped trailer lot.
* Absolutely no overnight parking (I’ve asked, they don’t have the room) but Pilot is approximately (1) mile away and there are several big chain businesses that do allow parking (Lowe’s / Walmart / U-Haul) or at-least they don’t have any no parking signs posted.
* Restroom available inside by the S&R office.
* Nice break room / drivers lounge at end of hall by restrooms.
* Shipping & Receiving Office is by dock # 27
*Have DL / pick up # and tandems slide once to the security gate.
Pasted from another drivers review but I found it noteworthy!
* Each driver has to slide tandems, show drivers license and confirmation # of load.
* If Garmin won’t get you there go by these directions…When you get to the light where the road T's into Conagra's big white yard sign, turn Right there at that light. Go to the 1st light & take a left. It's before you get to the railroad tracks on the left hand side.
* Additional parking other than the PFJ: There's a traffic light right in front of the Pilot or FJ, whatever it is. Go down that little side street & there's a Lowes Home Improvement maybe a quarter mile down that road on the right hand side. I saw a flatbed parked in there parallel to the street when my Garmin had me touring the city. If you pass it, there's a Comfort Inn down that little street on the left side with truck parking. Elmira meets that street there, so if you turn left on Elmira you'll come right back to the light where you had to turn left to get here (Americold)
