I read a lot of unhappy reviews about this insurance company and sorry that people had such a unpleasant experience with them. Fortunately, when we had a major flood in our home from a busted pipe they worker well for us. They were very quick to respond and help us with our claim and placed us in a hotel while the clean up and drying out of the house was done. The adjuster was very respectful and provided a fair claim amount which got our home back up. Although we have been with this company for decades this was our only claim thus far and I hope that if we ever need them to step up again they do so with the same results.

Total scam. One of their clients hit my car and it's been over a month and it is impossible to contact anyone. They keep transferring me to numbers that claim to not be affiliated with the policy. They claim to have acquired the company(Reliable Llodys Insurance Co.) that owns the policy yet they also claim to have no affiliation to the policy. They transfer me to numbers of other companies that also claim no affiliation to the policy or no knowledge of the company. I was injured in the accident, so this is gonna open up a can of worms.

avoid this company like the plague. had water damage in the house. the adjuster was next to impossible to get ahold of. it took an act of congress to get him to call/email back. $20k+ worth of damage, and they wanted to pay out like $2k. you'd be better self insuring then to give this company ( or Everette who bought them out) a dime.

I just can't make this company make any sense. I filed a claim during a hurricane because it was raining inside my home. They sent their adjuster to take a look. Several weeks later I get a denial letter. OK fine we just come up with the money and pay out of pocket. I never once called this company to even argue their decision. I assumed it would prove no good so I never bothered. Now its time for my renewal and they sent a letter of non renewal. They claim I'm a "risky" client. I didn't understand this being that there was a hurricane and my roof was damaged. I even offered to pay the cost of the adjuster to come out but they wouldn't accept it. Im a first time homeowner and it was always my dream to be a homeowner now I'm not so sure anymore. I totally understand Van, Camper and R.V. life more than ever now.

I have had a policy with American reliable for eleven years. I found my coverage needed to be increased , the person at my local office , looking at my policy , couldn't tell me my coverage. I found a replacement policy with another company. I spent all day , yesterday on the phone , trying to cancel my policy. I called six different numbers, each and everytime I was referred to another number, and on the seventh call , I was told where to mail my request. Some of thr people that I spoke with were pleasant, but not helpful. Some were not helpful , and very rude. Not satisfied at all with a company that I have used for eleven years , no claims, always paid on time , in full.

I almost never do reviews, but the reviews on this company made me nervous when I had to file a claim for busted pipes due to a freeze. My desk adjuster was Jamie Sharkey and she was wonderful and very helpful. As soon as they had all the paper work from the restoration team and the contractor they cut checks for damages immediately. I wanted to leave a 5 star review because I had a good experience with them with the entire process! Thanks again Jamie!!

Very sad company. I called on the date of loss to make a claim. They got the date wrong. I called twice, emailed twice, my insurance broker called twice and still when the claim report is sent to me it has the WRONG DATE. Is this company that much lacking in skills that you can't get a simple date right? If you came to me for medical care, I'm sure you would want medication dosages correct, right time and date for appointments given, etc.

Had a part of a tree go threw garage roof.. immediately sent pictures to my agent. Insurance company sent an adjuster,who reported that nothing went threw roof that damage was due to collapse from rot. My agent supplied the original pictures of the tree threw the roof. SO i call to SPEAK to Ron Garner. I DIDN'T have the claim number available to me at that moment, he wouldn't help me, told me I needed to find the claim number and call back when I had that available.. Evidently they cant look up policy information by your name or other in. He also sounded half asleep on the phone when he answered. I believe he just didn't want to take time to help me. Discusted with his customers service to say the least, and wrongly denied claim when proof was in the pictures.
