First of all, this is their HQ office so I suggest going to REI, Whole Foods, or their online store to buy Alpine Start! That being said — this stuff is AMAZING. I have tried a lot of instant coffees (and a lot of non-instant coffees) and I have to say, Alpine Start is so delicious. It tastes just like normally brewed coffee (as do their Chai Latte and Coconut Latte flavors) but it’s SO simple.

I bought this for backpacking and traveling, but find myself making it even when I have access to a coffee maker or French press. One of the things I love about it, that totally sets it apart from other instant coffee brands, is you can make iced coffee (or regular temp if you’re in a bind). It doesn’t need heat to activate it, so you can literally pour a packet into a water bottle (or some tap water in your reusable water bottle) and make coffee right there. I live in my van full time now, so I really love when I can snipe some ice from a gas station and make iced coffee. Feels so fancy but takes such literally effort!!

Last bit - I’ve literally made iced coffee with water and ice chunks from a glacial lake in Patagonia and a packet of Alpine Start. It was one of the happiest moments of my life.
