The Best and Cheapest place to take your kids for a meal, where you can also enjoy a great meal!! $10 kids steak meal with the salad bar!! My kids been asking to go here instead of McDonald's or anywhere else since she could speak 8 yrs ago, and this is where I bring her and her friends all the time! Even the ones who only want chicken fingers. It's $10 with the salad bar. You can't get that price or quality at any fast food like you do at Alexander's!
Always a great experience and meal! You can't go wrong here! Favorite is the Teriyaki Fillet, but all of their steaks are Amazing!

The best way to experience Alexander’s in my opinion is to choose a delicious cut of meat from the fridge, cook it yourself on their charcoal grill (with generous butter drippings and seasonings that they provide), and make yourself a few garlic butter pieces of Texas Toast. Pair it with their outstanding salad bar (the best in Peoria), and you’ve got a delicious complete meal! Also love their sweet potato fries, kebab, and teriyaki chicken!

I really don't care about atmosphere. But when you charge 40 bucks per steak and 14 for potato skins and 14ish for carrot cake. I would expect the dollar amount would command high value. It didn't. The steaks were poor/tough and more leaning towards incorrect cuts all together. The cook correctly cooked each of our steaks correctly. Party of 3. But the knives could not cut the steak, to tough. The potato skins where poorly toasted. Cooked to the point suitable, but not crispy. And the carrot cake that I ordered to take home is a sliver. For an out the door price of 200 dollars of my money, I should not say the meal was okay. I should be running to people and telling them that this is the best meal I every had. I will not be saying that. To the point my wife and I looked at each other and said, we will not be coming here again. We were full and not poisoned. But for 200 with tip, not worth it.

Update. Got home and family memeber is really sick overnight. The steak and burgers were way undercooked, even the broccoli was not cooked at all. The Long Island Drink is horrible. So sweet and no alcohol compared to what it used to be. If you like a kiddy drink that this is right up your alley. This premixed drink they should be ashamed of. I bartend and would never ever let a drink like this go out. Prices keep going way way up l and the size of your steak shrinks. Take a look at my entry $32 5oz mini steak, SMH. There are so many places in Peoria to get a really good drink and a full sized steak, just not here.

I've been coming to Alexanders for over 20 years now! Tonight as I always do I ordered the 20oz New York Strip and it was literally the best steak I've had at Alexanders to date! Also the Sword Fish was absolutely perfect and packed with flavor! Brandon the grill cook deserves the credit for a perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare and beautiful Sword Fish!

Good work Brandon! Five Stars!

The first thing I want to bring up before anything is the onion rings. Their onion rings are the best that I have ever had in my entire life. I had the 14 oz sirloin and that thing just melted in my mouth. You can either cook your own steak or choose to have one of the in-house cooks cook it for you. I went for the latter. Even though I love cooking, I I am dead set that when I go out to eat that's all I'm doing is eating, not cooking. 😂
The drinks were good and they were poured as they should be, not too light but not too heavy either. They have a really good salad bar too that comes with every meal, which is a win in my opinion because I love salad especially with my steak. The service was great, there was very little wait time on anything. The only thing is, and they will tell you this, they won't start your steaks until you go to the salad bar. The place is very popular and I recommend getting a reservation, we went on a Monday shortly after they opened And by the time we left the parking lot was packed. But they do have several dining areas in there with plenty of seating and they have overflow parking as well across the road, there's a sign in front of the lot. The only thing I didn't like, and this is just me here, I tried two desserts - the New York cheesecake and some chocolate fudge cake thing drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was all a little too rich. The chocolate dessert was way too rich, and the cheesecake was really rich tasting as well, tasted pretty cheesy. But all in all, excellent steakhouse!

Start your journey as you walk into an old paper mill factory and immerse yourself into a new experience. We decided to have lunch and made this our destination. The interior is well done yet preserves some of the past. Take a walk around and explore and. Heck out the framed art and articles. We chose a water view table and ordered drinks. Waitress was great, ordered our food and decided to let them cook it so we could just talk while waiting. Food delivered and it looked great. Steaks were cooked as requested. Lunch was delicious, definitely a return trip is in our furture.

A Peoria stalwart tradition. You will not find a better steak, period, full stop! The facilities are spacious, comfortable and well lit. During the season, outdoor seating is to be enjoyed and the views of the marina and The Illinois River provide a picturesque backdrop.
Reservations are always a good plan. The hammered copper-top bar adds a cherry warmth while you imbibe in a very well appointed bar and a deep selection of offerings. The bar staff are one of the best in the region and will take great care of you at the bar seating.
The scent of the coal fired grills fills the air, promising a steak prepared perfectly by the grill attendants, or if you choose, you can grill your own. I prefer the professionals take the task on with a perfect Pittsburgh-style sear on a well marbled ribeye. The steaks are all on display in refrigerated cabinets for you to choose the exact steak you want, if you so desire. The cuts offered are generous and properly done. All cuts are usually available, except on extra busy nights which may sell-out on certain cuts. Absolute steal heaven at Alexander's Steakhouse.
The wait staff is well trained, attentive, competent and friendly. The menu offers a huge variety of items and will not disappoint those who do not prefer steak. Alexander's salad bar is famous throughout the region and is hard to beat whatever city you are in. Going to dinner at Alexander's Steakhouse is an excursion to look forward to and enjoy great food with great friends and associates!
