Just subscribed recently and I haven't had my first delivery yet but it looks like a bit of a scam: As of 9/6/2024: $38.18 gets you 5 lb carrots, 1 lb green beans, 3 lb Russet potatoes, 6 oz blueberries and 1 romaine lettuce.

The stuff they pre-populate your box with looks like it's a decent amount (10 items) but then you look closely and there's 1 apple, 1 lb of potatoes, etc. so it's not much and it's also a weird selection (fennel, 2 types of pears...).

Very disappointing to say the least, we were excited for our first delivery, but disappointed does not begin to explain the produce we got. It appears its been frozen for over a month. For the money the company charges, I have a difficult time understanding who would want to pay for this.

The Farm Fresh boxes have gotten really good, I used to get them a couple of years ago and resubscribed now that I live in a delivery area. The produce is fresh and good, minimal packaging which I love, they will pick up the box back if you leave it out when you're done. I customize everything and my box is there when I wake up on Wednesdays. There's also a fantastic choice now of pantry goods, I pretty much never go to the store anymore, unless for very specific things. Prices are similar if not cheaper than stores. Highly recommend

I felt the produce was overpriced but kept it as I thought it would help the local community. Just cancelled it as the service has gone from bad to worse. In the past month I forgot to customize my box and they sent me 3 bunches of kale, 2 bunches of cilantro and 3 apples for 25$! This past week even after I customized my box, they did not send me the requested items and charged me 36$ for 1 b.cilantro, 2 apples, 2 pears and a medium sized cabbage!

I actually really like Farm Fresh and would recommend it to my close friends and family. I customize my boxes every week so I get the produce that I want. It's always been fresh, but their customer service is also awesome if you have a complaint and want to be reimbursed if something isn't right. I've started also regularly adding to my boxes- getting flowers for out household and now also meats and snacks. I'm probably going to transition to doing the majority of my shopping through them- the prices are reasonable and the delivery is magical- it's there when we wake up! Super convenient and delightful. Plus it's exciting trying new products as the seasons change- it keeps it fun! Absolutely recommend.

Used to be okay but now produce is unreliable. I have received moldy fruit, brown spotted items and old veggies. I even had one delivery with bugs in the lettuce. Now this I expect to a certain extent with organic fresh produce but the last delivery came even though I canceled the delivery for that month. They gave me credit, for the moldy grapes but didn't credit items I don't want or can't use. They knew it was canceled because no reminder email came allowing adjustments to our box. Several other deliveries had some kind of problem. It is too bad, I wanted this to work out for us because I can't go to the farmer's markets anymore, but bringing things without an order and not honoring canceled delivery request was the last straw for me. Had to cancel my subscription.

A good way to get produce delivered to your door with a wide variety, but it's not fresh. Many of the items look like they are several weeks old, rather than fresh from the farm. There's a lot of plastic, too - which is one of the main reasons I'd get a farm box. It's like slightly worse than Safeway produce at way more than Whole Foods prices.

I am posting the feedback I sent to Farm Fresh To You so new customers can be aware of their terrible delivery service I just experienced:

“Hello,

I’d like to provide context as to why I will no longer use your services. I ordered raw chicken breast and other dairy perishables that needed to be refrigerated immediately and I was not informed when my delivery arrived. No email, no text, no phone call - absolutely nothing. I live in an apartment building, so I cannot constantly check my front gate to see when the order was delivered AND your website explicitly stated to logon to my account for status updates, which I did all day on Friday, April 17th.

It was only when I received a separate Amazon package notification that I came to my front gate only to find my Farm Fresh To You package had been sitting outside of my apartment building, with the ice cooler packages completely melted and my raw chicken was WARM. As you should know, raw chicken can only sit out for 2 hours max before bacteria grows, and it was obviously that the product I paid $10 is now rancid, dangerous and a waste of money. Your delivery service effectively endangered the product and could have endangered my health.

Your team really needs to get their delivery operations together. This is super unacceptable. There are many other farm direct services out there in the Bay Area (using the same farm vendors) and there’s no reason to support you guys if you can’t even deliver the product fresh or notify when the box is delivered. The only service you actually provide is to connect the farms to the customer, and you can’t even do that without spoiling the actual product. Why should I use your service when I can’t even trust that it will be delivered properly?

I wish you luck with your business but please know that I cannot and will not support the way you conduct your business in good conscience anymore.”
