I've been happily going to MGC for 35 years for many different reasons such as annuals, perennials, bushes, trees, fertilizer, soil, propane, sharpening mower blades, buying and maintaining equipment and grills, deer protection, etc.
They are friendly and helpful. For instance, as I get older, I appreciate their loading the heavier stuff into my truck. And I value their advice.

I recently purchased a brand new Weber Grill from Mendham Garden Center and I just want to say how happy I am with them. Ed and Trevor helped me with all my questions and had the exact Weber Grill I was looking for. They helped with getting me the accessories I needed as well as they delivered the grill to my home and set the entire thing up. I am very happy with my purchase from them and I could not be happier. I have been coming here for many years for flowers, christmas trees, etc but after the fantastic job they did with my new grill I felt the need to write them a fantastic review as they always have been great for the many years I have lived here! I came in here for birdseed and a few garden tools and walked out with a Toro mower! This place is the quintessential “buy local” store. They have an excellent selection of garden/outdoor supplies and power tools including Stihl and Toro. The staff is superb. Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Greg helped me through the mower purchase and took extra time to show me how to operate, maintain and service the machine. Speaking of service, they do that in house too… so if you buy here you know who to call if something isn’t right.

If you live in the greater Chester area, or if you prefer to do business with a locally owned shop, Mendham Garden Center is the place for gardening and outdoor maintenance needs.

THE BEST customer service around the staff is very helpful with transporting items out to the car. (especially the 50 pound bags of sunflower seeds)
Additionally their service department is beyond reproach, their ability to find rare replacement parts for older tractors and mowers is commendable!

Friendly service. Very nice organic seedlings. And all sorts of garden items. I like to shop great stores that are not big box when ever possible. This garden is as good if not better than the chain stores. Highly recommend!!

Family business. Rare these days in the age of megastores. My 12 year old Stihl trimmer died on me. Originally it cost about $150 way back when. I took it back to where I bought it from to see about either fixing or replacing it. Too bad that this shop has forgotten about Joe Homeowner, more importantly, about customer service. After I described what happened the shop owner just quoted a price for labor, plus parts, which he'd have to order in, just $10 shy of the original purchase price. After barely glancing at my broken trimmer, without even looking it over he the guy was trying to convince me to replace with a heavy duty model at $200 bucks. Said thanks and headed to Medham Garden Center. Here, at least the man had a go at trying to start it. He thought maybe the carburetor, said it would be $100 to fix. It was about what I was expecting. Ultimately though, I opted for a newer model instead of the fix. At MGS they had a better selection of Stihl products and are not just focused on commercial customers. Thanks for running a business like the way things used to be.
