This was my go to market for halal meat and middle eastern products. However the quality of the meat and variety of products have been on a steady decline for the past months. Unless you are lucky to stumble upon the butcher cutting fresh meat, your only choice is to get meat that have been sitting for several days on the frozen display because whoever is behind the counter will not bother cutting fresh meat for you, even if you ask politely. During this holy month of Ramadan, we purchased various meats and the color of the beef was brown and once cooked was not tender nor flavorful. On the grocery items side, long are gone the day where they used to display several types of savory crackers, cookies and sweets from all over North Africa and the Middle East. You have the choice now between a 45 dollars baklava box and 4 dollars milks chocolate. I live in Rockville and have been coming for the past 7 years to this store. But after paying more than 200 dollars for some chicken, beef steaks and ground beef, I decided to try other halal stores in Northern Virginia and my God the difference is incredible: price, freshness, variety are all unbeatable. I use to always privilege shopping local but unfortunately this store is not what it used to be so I am taking my dollars elsewhere.

The best butcher shop I’ve ever been too. Literally drive an hour just to get here. The staff are very very welcoming and friendly. The shop has no distinctive smell of old meat like other butcher shops. It’s VERY CLEAN! Not to mention the Meat is ALWAYS top quality, very fresh, oh and you get what you pay for! I’d choose this butcher shop ever single time. I go specifically for their lamb chops and I’ve never been so happy in my life to find fresh, halal, savoring meat. Thank you!
