We stayed overnight with the Harvest Host program. Henry (the owner) shared so much fascinating info on raising sheep. He had several dogs that clearly took their duties seriously in guarding the sheep. It was a delightful and interesting stay and we were able to purchase several cuts of frozen lamb.

Henry and Paula are friendly people. My family always loves visiting their farm. The farm is a peaceful place to just sit and relax while watching the animals graze or strolling through the sunflower fields. They also lamb for sale. We have gotten the ground lamb and used the meatball recipe that they provided to us. I had never eaten lamb before then but I will from now on. GREAT FARM!! Thank you for the wonderful experience Mr. and Mrs. Dorough!! We will be back.

The HD Farm is a great place to buy locally raised lamb. The owners Henry and Paula are extension agents whose passion is obvious the first time you meet them. They have a love of farming and community. Visit the farm to purchase lamb or spend a few minutes picking Sunflowers in their seasonal patch. Can’t wait to visit again.

An exceptional experience. A true representation of a farm raising sheep in the South (if you are doing ag tourism). We really loved our experiences with them and the lamb is delicious 🙂

I had a wonderful time cutting sunflowers from the 5-acre field. The field offered a great photo opportunity, also. It was very interesting hearing about and seeing the sheep. The sheep do not have wool. They have hair that sheds and, when shedding is complete, they look like they have been sheared.

I haven't bought any of their ĺamb, yet. I do intend to, one day!
