DO NOT SELL OR BUY FROM BUFFALO! This was my third time to to this sale barn. My first two times I was buying and my third time was selling. What I witnessed two out of three time sickens me to tell you about. ANIMAL ABUSE is definitely happening here. During my second visit buying, the animals were coming out with broken legs and bloodied faces, (I am NOT lying) one couple tried to complain and they were met with the family who runs the place who called the police and almost got into a fist fight over a customer complaining how all the animals were getting treated. It made it really uncomfortable as a customer to witness this. On 3/25/2025 I was selling the goats that I bought on the first two trips. While unloading them, four goats got loose and my partner and I were able to catch two while another family member (who works there) grabbed another one but not in a normal way... He literally picked the goat up in a headlock and the adult goat was hanging buy its neck, full body weight hanging, and he hip-tossed it into the holding area. The fourth goat he trapped behind a gate and grabbed it by its rear legs and swung his body around 180 degrees banging the goats head off our tail gate and the goat flew 3-4 feet landing on it's side. It took my breath away! I asked if they were going to feed or water the goats. His reply was NO, but we could bring our own to feed and water them. Animals are already in destress! How do you expect them to show well while their beaten and starved? This is the second time my friend and I have dealt with this aggressive sale barn witnessing this poor animal handling and how customers are treated if they're concerned about how animals are treated. Oh, and they also bill you for a phony vet fee of $2.90 a head (and that's how they treat the animals) The Billy I originally bought there in June 2024 was recorded at 150 lbs and upon sale yesterday, they claim he only weighed 120 lbs! There's no way my male lost 30 lbs in a year! My wife is 110 and my goat was way bigger than my wife. So I also think his scales are NOT accurate as other reviews state! They used to let you up on the cat walk, but since my second visit, they now have the door locked claiming insurance reasons. That also happens to be where the couple was standing on my second visit when they were witnessing the animal abuse!!
We will NEVER go back here and if I can do more than this post, then I will. If I could have rated a ZERO, then I would have.
Shame on YOU BUFFALO SALE BARN!

I was happier with the sale of my stock this year than all prior sales back to 2010. This was my last time to us Buffalo Livestock Market if my sheep had done like they have in the past. Update I've never sold lambs in the 42 pounds range in 20 years. They need there scales calibrated or they're intentionally screwing people. It will be my last time selling anything here ! They are terrible at handling stock. I've seen them throw goat kids from the tail gate of a pickup and it land on it's side. They don't even provide water for your stock let alone any feed. They are good to the meat packer buyers and don't care about the little guy.

Scales were off when owner was called on it. He reweighed it went from 50 lbs to 105lbs on a goat The owner proceeded to renegotiate the price per pound it sold with my son to bring the price of the animal back down , My son said no , owner became belligerent starting cussing . we will never go back !

Caution. The scales are not zeroed, correctly. I witnessed young children assisting on the floor, randomly climbing off/on the floor without recalibrating the scales. I weighed my animals prior to market, this year. Diamond and Norwood were accurate. Buffalo was considerably off. Auctioneer refused to respond to the issue.

The scale is off by a lot they will not let you no sale your cattle over the phone if you can't be there . There is no way a 4 year old bred cow is only worth a 100.00 dollars . This place ripped me off and screwed me over . I will not recommend or ever take anything back there to sale ever . They only care about the slaughter buyers and not the little guy trying to get by . They screwed me and they will screw you too .

this facility willingly participates in the sale and handling of stolen livestock, they will not work with you in the retrieval of your stolen property, and the county officials are aware that it is being done. the owner threatened to "smoke me" when i went there to try and re obtain my property, in front of the officers i had called to assist me. the officer told me to "get the fuq out of his county and dont come back". the staff are unfriendly and uneducated and abuse the animals.

Had the best experiance there. They didnt seem to care if my calves where red or black like most sale barns do. They have earned my business from here on out I will gladly sale at this barn again.
