Really appreciate the work this organization does and the accessibility of their burn day safety information. The website is user-friendly, making it easy to check burn day status and obtain the necessary permitsβ€”an invaluable resource for a new resident. My property had gone years without proper maintenance, and controlled burns were essential to reduce the wildfire risk. They strike a thoughtful balance between protecting air quality and enabling safe, necessary wildfire mitigation efforts. Grateful for their efforts in keeping the community informed and safe.

This organization has been entrusted to keep our air clean but alas, the very opposite seems true. From what I can see with their behavior and their generous allotment of Open Burn Days, and not even requiring a permit to pollute and poison our community is truly unsettling. They knowingly allow Open Burn Days even when the terrain is ripe for a winter wildfire. They are not environmentalists, they work for the Open Burners who can pollute and endanger our community with abandon thanks to this illustrious institution that does not answer their emails, phone calls, or other forms of communication. If I was able to give zero stars, I would readily do it. They need to resign and assign new people that really do want to make our air cleaner not surrender it to the polluters and fire lovers.
