Great little place that seems to be a hybrid of Mexican and Navajo cooking. Service was excellent! The fry bread was light and not greasy. We were thrilled to find mutton on the menu, along with some Mexican classics such as pozole. The lattes were very good as well. The mutton required a bit of chewing but the flavor was fantastic. Good place for Navajo tacos as well!

If you’re traveling through the area, Amigo Café is a must-stop. The food is hearty, the flavors are authentic, and the hospitality is second to none. I had the chance to try their fry bread, which was delicious, but the true highlight of the meal was the Elote dip. Paired with crispy Navajo pork rinds fresh off the fire, it was simply outstanding! I was eager to go back for more, but unfortunately, we missed their open hours. Next time, I definitely want to explore more of their menu.

Whether you’re indulging in the Navajo Taco or something else, you’ll leave not only with a satisfied appetite but also a deeper appreciation for Navajo cuisine.

The food is absolutely amazing here! If you are even close to Kayenta, you must stop here! The blue corn fry bread, which is featured in many dishes, is delicious. The Chipotle blue corn Navajo burger is so big, might as well cut in half and have two burgers! My sister had the Fry Bread chalupa. We shared the elote dip, which is delicious itself, but ice never had pork rinds like this. So good. I didn't even mention yet the coffee drinks. Excellent as well. And our service was also very good.

Not a particular fan of Mexican food but I was glad to find mutton on the menu, which was great. Both of us were extremely satisfied with the food quality and service. Highly recommended on the way if you travel to Monument Valley.

Quirky in that you sign a book and then sit and wait your turn until you are called to a table...that said, the system works perfectly! The atmosphere inside is great; bustling and friendly. The welcome is warm and the service is slick. However, the star of the show is the food which is absolutely delicious!I would thoroughly recommend the fry bread Chalupa together with the Navajo Burger with fries.

Super nice cafe serving all types of food you can think of. The butter breve coffee was delicious as someone who likes it on the sweeter end. The blue corn Navajo burger was delicious but if you have a smaller appetite I recommend sharing.

My family and I were visiting Monument Valley and staying near by in Kayenta so Amigo Cafe was one of the top recommended places for dinner in town. It was super busy tonight with a lengthy wait-list and the dining room was packed but the fine ladies that run this restaurant worked so efficiently together and sharply!

The elote dip with the chicarones was delicious. The pickled jalapeños gave the corn a slight kick but nothing extremely spicy which I appreciate. The salty flavors of the pork rinds and creamy dip just married the flavors together.

The chips and salsa were good but if you don't like bold, hot spice, you're going to have a rough time haha. I only had one chip full because my gallbladder is not friendly with spice anymore.

Two of us had shredded beef chimichangas with the side of rice and guacamole. Everything was hot, fresh and crispy! Seasoned well too! Mom had the beef fajitas with onions, peppers, beans and rice, which she enjoyed.

We couldn't have asked for a better dinner on our last day in Navajo Nation. I hope to get coffee there tomorrow but if not, if I ever return to this part of AZ, I would definitely return and recommend.

The food and atmosphere was worth the wait! Ahéheeʼ

Great stop on the way from Page to Monument Valley. The breakfast was very good - we had Mexican omelet and enchiladas. The staff was very welcoming and seemed happy to share their great food. There is a lot of parking.
