I enjoy shopping for Mexican food items here. They also have really good tamales. However of you are looking for pork meat, bacon 🥓, carnitas, or any pork items, you will not find it here. They do have fresh ready to eat dishes, beans, rice and variety of hot salsas. #msperatv

It's a great small market. It is a Mexican store that has a lot of Hispanic products. They have their own butcher counter which is great. I bought some meat there to make a stew and it came out good. They don't have the lowest prices but it's close by. I do like the butcher counter and the staff is very nice.

Looks like at one point we stopped at this San Marcos Market shop front and bought some a tamales, yeah. They were all right or aight as the youngans would say. Yes. A'ight.

Purchased 1 liter of Pepsi for $3.65 you got to be kidding me this is 3 times the amount the liter is worth this place should be ashamed of itself this is in a Senor living or use to be 55 and up I went being a stupid fool I am to save some time and some gas to spend $3.65 on a liter of Pepsi this owner should be warned by the department of weights and measures for price gauging there is no way a liter of Pepsi even comes close to this cost he calls himself a market? He is not for San Marcos or this community he is ridiculous pricing things like this I am not stopping here I am going to get this guy and all of his locations looked at by the government accepting EBT to boot stealing people benefits for the sake of convenience this is owner ought to be ashamed of himself. I wonder what he pays his cashiers? Or even if they are legal to even work in the USA we will see amigo

The food made by Don Arnoldo is amazing, staff is great, always stocked on items I need for dinner. Tacos are amazing, salsa is amazing, tamales are so yummy!

Decided to try the cakes again. Service was mediocre, the gentleman was more concerned about transferring a picture to someone’s phone than helping out (not a cake picture). I asked if the cakes were made that same day since my stomach had been upset previously before and they had assure me all of the cakes were tres leches and made fresh daily. Once we finally got our cake and took it home for cutting and consumption , the bread part was stiff and tasted stale. The tres leches had either dry up or had barely ever existed.... either way to top it all off, my stomach has been upset for the past few hours with cramps and vomiting... LESSON LEARNED!

Finding parking is the worst thing about this little market, but if I lived closer I'd go every other day. Fresh produce, the peppers and cheeses I want. If you like to cook with spices this is definitely a better place to head than Vons.
