The views are incredible. The tasting was rushed, loud and impersonal. The red wine was middle of the road.

The pizza was pre-manufactured with fresh melted cheese.

The live music was voice over synthetic.

If you've never been there before, and choose the first parking lot, you have a hundred or so of small steps vertical to climb before you get there, bypass that parking lot and drive all the way up. There was no signage to help a first-time visitor.

Good pricing, special deals, allows you to taste 2 for free. Nice views. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars was the flatbread pizza took over 40 minutes to receive.

We found this beautiful vineyard in the mountains of San Marcos. Live music and amazing views! Limited menus however. The charcuterie boards were wonderful, but don't bother with the store bought pizzas. You will get two free samples of wine before you have to pick your glass or bottle. Be prepared to ask your server for a new glass with each sample, they are not just given to you. It's hard to have a authentic taste experience if the old is poured into the new.
Otherwise this a hidden gem that I would recommend.

Sunshine Mountain winery is a very nice place To enjoy with Family and Friends, you can bring your own food and try samples of the local wine, there are also two areas that you can rent For meetings of all occasions!

Such a great place to hang out with friends, sip on wine, soak up the sun, enjoy the view and listen to live music!
Up top they offer areas to sit and lounge in outdoor furniture. Most of the sitting areas have fire pits and patio umbrellas to use if desired. Restrooms, music, food and wine are all up top. They have a number of red and white wines to choose from and sell by the glass or by the bottle. The food menu offers pizzas, fish and chips, appetizers, cheese/meat plates, cheesecake, soda, water and more. The view is beautiful up there!
Follow the bright white staircase down to the middle level. This area has shade provided by trees, a small pond with fish and small grass area. There are tables and chairs/benches on this level, but not as many as the upper level. I’ve seen this level rented out and set up for paint nights and work parties. A second staircase will take you to the bottom level which is just the lower dirt parking lot. *There is a small parking lot on the top level.
We recently became wine club members and receive discounts + free glasses of wine. I enjoy this place and hope you do too!
