My heart belongs to Cardona's sandwiches. You can't miss Joe's special and Dottie G's! Though I seriously doubt you can make a bad choice! As icing on the cake, the staff is warm and inviting. Coming here from NYC for the second time, it will definitely be on my must-visit stop for any future visits!

Wow! Can't wait to return here again one day. The food was absolutely delicious! It was busy but that's to be expected when the food is on point. Service was good. Unique set up and great selection of specialty foods.

Every time we go, we have less and less a reason to return. They offer fewer and fewer non-Italian imported items. Shelves are empty, and they seem unwilling to restock, so we are forced to use mail order for items we've been buying for 50 years at this location. Takeout is disappointing as well. Sandwiches are skimpy. In the summer we ordered a full Antipasto tray, and it was terrible. There was so many pickled vegetables on top (and only a few bits of cheese and meat if you hunt for them), that people thought the salad was already dressed. Everything tasted like vinegar. It was probably the most disappointing Antipasto I've ever had. We were going to bring home a soup today for lunch, but even they looked sub-par. Pasta fagioli should have more than pasta noodles added to the broth.
There are some items that are very good. Fresh bread and rolls are great, and the Italian imports are good.

Only reviewing the store and the deli section. The inside of the store is huge. They have a lot of import packaged goods down the isles. A lot of premade salads and pastas from the cooler to go. The staff was a little disorganized but everyone was super nice and friendly so I didn’t mind. I think ordering for pickup through the website is the way to go. The sandwiches are pretty good size and a nice meat to bread ratio. This bread is very soft but i think that is a regional/upstate NY thing. One of the better sandwich shops in the area for sure. Haven’t really found a place that does a hard crust Italian semolina style bread yet. Would definitely order again.

Had an errand nearby around lunchtime today and noticed Cardona’s on the map, so I figured I’d try the place out. Really nice market with friendly staff and customers alike and a great selection of pretty much everything. I ordered a sandwich and a cup of soup, both were fresh and full of flavor. Can’t wait to come back!

This is not Salilto turkey or buffalo chicken boars head. Smh Don’t expect the same quality subs that Albanys location makes. Will not be going back again. Disappointing

Called on 12/7 to pre-order 8-10 sweet sausage links made without fennel seed but with fennel powder for pick up on 12/21. I was told normally they do 5lb minimum order but he could accommodate & do 3lbs instead. I agreed. Arrived on 12/21 & had to wait as the order was not prepared. Watched him make the links & throw in a handful of seasoning in while grinding the meat. I also was given 7lbs & not the 3lbs agreed upon. The sausage was tasteless & we ended up throwing them away. Truly a waste of their time & our money.

One of the best Italian delis in the area. I promise you I've never been to one this big, nor have I ever seen one of such quality. They give you the option to get olives with your sub if you don't want a pickle!!!!
