This place is fantastic! Super fun with a medieval/viking vibe. Huge selection of meads to try, including rotating seasonal. You can bring outside food in, just no beverages. They also partner with a couple restaurants that will walk food you order over to you. Friendly and welcoming for all ages. There were young kids to some adorable seniors well into their golden years, and everyone was having a blast.
Wheelchair accessible, with a little assistance with the door but easy to maneuver once inside. Staff is incredible and welcoming. You can tell they love their patrons. Highly recommend stopping in here while in downtown Flagstaff.

Stepping into this mead hall felt like a journey back in time to an ancient Viking stronghold. The ambiance exuded authenticity with its old-world charm and meticulously crafted decor. But it was the mead that truly stole the show. With a selection rivalling European counterparts, each sip was a delight, transporting me to distant lands with every nuanced flavor. From the staple classics to the limited-time specialties, there's something for every palate. While food may not be on offer, the experience alone is worth the visit. Highly recommended for mead enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

We try to stop by Drinking Horn every time we come through Flag. It's great to get a flight to try a few and figure out which ones you like best, then we usually get a glass of our favorites. This mead is mellow but nicely flavored. I love it. My favorites in the past were passion fruit and peach. They have rotating options, so you'll likely find something new.

One of my favorite bars in one of my favorite college towns. I might be a wee bit biased, since I was a double faculty brat who grew up on NAU’s campus, but I think bars like The Mead Hall are what make Flagstaff a great college town, especially in autumn when the leaves are just starting to change!
All the staff at the Hall are friendly and welcoming— most are current or former students from NAU and CCC. The staff are always eager to share more about Hall happenings & events, and there’s usually a group of locals or two in the hall studying or playing a game, no matter what time of day you arrive.
They have fun cocktails, a delicious rotation of locally crafted honey meads, and there’s always a soda on tap for you if you’re not in the mood for alcohol.
Thanks for being awesome, Mead Hall!

My son and I always stop by the mead hall when we visit Flagstaff. We love the Viking ambiance, but we visit for the mead. Natural, crisp and vibrant tastes. Life is about building memories with the folks you share time with. The hall and mead are now a part of that. Drinking from a flight, listening to Irish music in the background…life was and is good.
