Gutting that I couldn’t visit this place earlier during my stay in Buffalo !

Loved celebrating the Buffalo tradition of a Fish Fry dinner on Friday !

We ordered the Haddock dinner , light battered fresh fish served with a delectable coleslaw and fresh homemade fries and a tartar sauce. The dinner was delicious and satisfying to the soul !

Also the lobster roll, was so refreshing to eat such a delicious lobster roll in Buffalo, totally unexpected but loved every bit of it .

They have a small cozy place to sit and dine , not a fine dine but it’s cozy enough to squeeze a date night in . Loved the place and just wish them all the best.

Hayes is a great place to go for a fish dinner. Order at the counter, and they will either give you a pager so that you can pick up your food when it's ready, or give you a numbered sign for your table so they can deliver it. My favorites are the lobster bisque and broiled Atlantic salmon with red skinned potatoes and green beans. If you are looking for a fine dining atmosphere, go somewhere else. Nothing but great food here.

A couple of friends promised me "the best fish fry in town" and they did not disappoint! We arrived about 5:30 on a Friday afternoon and it was already quite busy, but we got lucky. There was a moment when more people were leaving than came in. We all ordered the fish fry with roasted potatoes and were handed a pager before going to the dining area to find a table. We quickly found a table and were greeted by the table staff, who helped us get our drinks and made us feel at home even though it was a busy evening. Not long afterwards, the pager went off and we went to get our food at the pickup area. The staff were attentive and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our order (Cole slaw and tartar sauce mainly). We brought the food back to our table and the fish fry was delicious!! It was the best I'd had in a very long time. The fish was flaky and tender, the roasted potatoes were perfectly cooked and the Cole slaw was scrumptious. If you're looking for a great fish fry, you won't go wrong here.

The food here is really good. The scallops are the best. On this visit, I had the broiled scallops, which were really good, but the friend scallops are amazing.

Usually, I get salmon or the scallops dinner, but on this occasion, I had a lobster roll. The price was $28.99 and was pretty good. Wish the lobster was a little sweeter, but it is what it is.

This isn't a fancy place, but the food makes up for it. You order at the cash register, sear yourself, but they do bring the dishes to you. I've been here about 5 times and would definitely go back.

great seafood restaurant/store that offers the option to dine in or take out... you can order raw seafood to go or have them prepare things for you- grilled, broiled, blackened, on a salad!! my friends & I had beers, appetizers, entrees, and desserts- everything was delicious. the shrimp cocktail was fresh and served with lemons and cocktail sauce... fried scallops were perfectly breaded and came out piping hot, served with tarter sauce... for entrees there was a lobster roll that was healthily stuffed with lobster, two salmons, and a seafood dish- all came with two sides... bread pudding & key lime pie for
dessert... in case you missed what I said earlier, everything was delicious!!

Extremely pleasant dining experience. Delicious food, large portions, well prepared and presented. Dining in, you place and prepay for your food and drinks. (You carry in your own drinks, glasses, etc.) Are shown to a table and then meals are brought to you and served.

Ate here for the last time today for my birthday. Came in with 8 people only to be greeted by an insufferable rude middle-aged man taking orders. He snapped at my 77 year old grandmother and barked orders like we were in his house. Should fire that guy. I would never let someone like him play a customer facing role. Absolutely the smallest lobster tails I've ever eaten. It's horrible and they should just close the doors if that's the best they can do
