We went to tour the US Merchants Marines (USMMA) at Kings Point, NY, and discovered a quiet surrounding town (Great Neck) that was clean, wholesome and safe. A stark contrast to Manhattan or any large noisy city. Great Neck Plaza was one of many strips that are dotting Kings Point neighborhoods and provide a family friendly atmosphere and many shops and eateries to visit. Very clean town and a side of New York that is a well kept secret.

There are plenty of food areas and a train station. There is usually moderate traffic and anytime of day will probably not make the traffic different. This has a good amount of sweets shops

It's functional and clean, not a lot of stuff going on. There are a few places to get a bite to eat or drink, and it's easy access to the train or a cab from there I do like that you can walk anywhere in the town within a few minutes great neck is a nice safe place. I am proud to call it home................

The food was good but service terrible. We mentioned our food allergie, which was gluten in the beginning and specified no crunch. My daughter who is allergic to gluten, ordered a roll and it had sauce on it which was brown. I tasted it and it was soy. Not everybody knows that soy sauce has wheat in it, so we weren’t too cranky about that. But after 1520 minutes and then when he came to check on us, and when we finally got the waiters attention mind you there was about three people in the restaurant, they made us a new role, but then charged us for it as well. That was unexpected as we could not eat it. I am sensitive but not allergic so would not eat it either. The attitude was dismissive and for a restaurant gluten allergies should be well known.

OK let me be honest I have a shop over there lol 😆 but the area is great literally everything you want including the LIRR right in front of MY SPA *WINKWINK* next to the old New York sport medicine building. But the food there is great and it's really nice to walk around and relax there's a park I think somewhere close by but honestly it feels like your walking in a park anyway lots of trees and air even feels different ( to me it does not that it is lol ) 😌 I like it but if your in the area for a Mani massage facial or whatever I gotchu lol 15 barstow rd suite 101 see ya!

Easy to see right off of Middle Neck Road servicing Great Neck and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Close to the train station. Near to restaurants, cafes, and stores. Plenty of parking on the streets and municipal parking lot near by. It's a great area. We will definitely be going back.

If I can't get it in Little Neck, I'll find it for sure in Great Neck. I've been coming to this shopping center when Gertz was there in the 1970's. Great place to shop in the heart of downtown Great Neck. Great place to shop, do your business or get great health care. Great Neck rocks!
