Stopped by randomly as I found Black Squirrel on Facebook. A nice stand with some things to purchase and Emily so nice to help me get some green walnuts to make some Nocino. So pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and knowledge of the production. I will be back for more soon! An unsuspected hit of my trip to the area!

I highly recommend a tour of Black Squirrel farm! From start to finish I was intrigued! It is well researched and presented. I also love their products and have purchased their walnuts, paint additive and hulls for my smoker. It's quite an asset to the Finger Lakes community!

Over the past weekend I decided to try something new and stopped at Black Squirrel Farms for a tour. I felt very welcomed not knowing what I was in for and boy was it worth it! As soon as I arrived I was quickly greeted by Emily who took me on a tour of the beautiful property they have to offer. The tour was very informative as I learned the history of the farm and many uses of black walnuts and how they are processed. The end of my tour was hands on as I got to make my own sweet snacks to take home…it was absolutely delicious! (Coming from a picky eater) If you’re looking for a new experience I would highly recommend Black Squirrel Farms as you’ll find nothing else like it! You can either buy tickets in advance or simply stop by and they’ll take care of you.

I was lucky enough to be part of a group tour of Black Squirrel Farms. Sara and Emily provided us with a fantastic, interactive tour of the operation which explained the natural history of black walnuts and how they process them into the many fantastic products they sell. This was one of the most interesting tours I’ve attended in the region. If you’d like a truly unique farm experience, I highly recommend visiting!

I'm so glad I was able to find a company that sells ground walnut shells to mix with paint! Their price is great, and the service is wonderful!
I have had a much better experience using the walnut shells as opposed to the sand- based products. For the last 15 years I've been using the ground shells exclusively for my painted back yard deck as well as my front steps. No slippage, and it's easy to mix and apply.

WOW what fun! Welcoming and knowledgeable staff, engaged and passionate about the business of growing and marketing black walnuts - the Cinderella of the natural nut family. Black Squirrel Farms provided a tree-to-table experience outlining the harvesting and processing methods, and provided a sampling of final edible product. An awesome small group experience!!!

Wonderful informational tour about Black Walnuts. Who knew there were so many uses. The Walnut Gardner soap is very nice. Planning to stop back and pick up some shells for the smoker.
