I was in retail for almost 50 years, so I have a lot to say about EVERY store I enter. Lots of criticisms and observations. And one thing I observed about Ideal is that their shelves and endcaps are truly works of art.
Every inch is always filled with beautifully merchandised items. Not one square foot in this store goes to waste: because it is a small supermarket by today’s standards, the manager must make sure that this is the case. And he does, always in the floor directing his many workers, always seemingly on the lookout for shoplifters. He could have worked for me any day.
The store replaced a shoddy looking Waldbaum’s years ago. When Waldbaum’s closed I was upset. Today I think it’s the best thing that could have happened for the neighborhood. It’s a pleasure to shop here.

Some products r a bit pricey but their sales items, sometimes, beat those of other markets n the area. Chk them out 4 deals on sodas, ice cream, seasonings, n some frozen prepared fds.

The customer service is good. The prices are decent. The food needs to be check and labeled correctly so nobody buys old food. I didn’t noticed the sandwich was no good until I got home. Overall I would shop here for certain items.
