In 43 years of teaching foraging throughout Greater NY, this is one of the best organizations I've ever encountered. They organize 2 foraging tours with me, and my daughter, if she's in town, every year, and make it (and everything else) free for the public.

They provide every kind of environmental activity, i.e., birding, gardening, art exhibits, exercise and fitness events, beach cleanups, beach plantings, and way more. They're great with inner-city kids, and with the public.

The officials are smart, sincere, and kind-hearted. It's always a great pleasure working with them!

Love RISE! An outstanding team offers farm shares, community service, public art and advocacy as well as several opportunities for local youth to feel empowered and motivated to contribute to a better tomorrow. We should all be so lucky to have a community nonprofit working with these goals and always rising above - Rise up with RISE!

The building was an old firehouse and the renovations were nice. The people are very kind and helpful. They host different events in the community like cleanups and planting of native species. The events are fun, and you meet many people and organizations in the community.

This was a street fair I attended under the subway tracks. Really disn't see much as it was directly under the train station. I didn't go far. But the area seemed pleasamt enough.
