Farmstead catering was, without question, one of the highlights of our wedding. Most of our 120 guests were coming to the North Country for the first time; we wanted to showcase the Adirondacks at their finest, and local food was an essential element in that story. We got to work closely with the Farmstead team to create a menu highlighting all the best produce the Adirondacks offers in early summer. A few seasons before our event, they invited us to Echo Farm to meet the team and walk the farm. And we got to see first hand the care and precision with which the team produces and prepares food there.

On the day, the results were spectacular. The dramatic open-fire cooking set-up was a hit with guests. The grazing tables were stunning, and the food tasted as good as it looked. The family-style dinner was the perfect way to display and enjoy the meal.

The Farmstead team struck the perfect balance of ease and professionalism; in addition to fantastic food, their team was an excellent addition to the atmosphere and good vibes on the day.

The process of working with Farmstead Catering for our wedding meal and floral arrangements was top-notch from start to finish. Dillon and his whole team are all absolute professionals and take such care in their craft in a way that separates them to a level leagues apart from any other caterer / floral provider we came across. Sharing a local, sustainable, and delicious farm-to-table meal with our guests was very important to my wife and I, so we were so thrilled when we came across Farmstead! Beyond the mission, their food is AMAZING. So much better than anything I ever imagined wedding catering food could be. Between the fire-grilled chicken, patty pan squash with oregano pesto, colorful beet salad, and grilled colorful carrots it was impossible to pick a favorite. It seemed that each guest had a different personal preference -- a sign of just how incredible everything was!

It is so clear that the whole team at Farmstead takes such pride in their work. Chef Taylor guided my wife and I through the process of developing a veggie-forward menu and gave us full freedom to shape the meal. Kirsten made the process of picking our florals fun and easy. Her flowers are absolutely spectacular, natural, and so beautifully varied! We couldn't have asked for a better floral provider and the fact that Farmstead offered the 1-2 punch of food + flowers made everything so easy. Dillon and Jori provided high-touch support every step of the way. On-site, the open-fire cooking was a treat to see for guests and really gave everyone an appreciation of the quality and freshness of the meal.

Farmstead was a joy to work with from our very first consultation. As a vegetarian, I was delighted at how flexible and creative Taylor was with our menu. Everyone who attended was raving that the food and drinks were some of the best they'd ever had.

That being said, Farmstead Catering is much more than just a caterer. Their event planners assisted us every step of the way, handled our rentals, and carried us seamlessly through a postponement due to the pandemic. Our wedding would have been nothing without their help and expertise. Every little detail exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I are so, so thankful for Farmstead. As a vegan groom and vegetarian bride, we knew that serving a high quality, meatless meal was a huge priority for our wedding. The food was absolutely phenomenal (even our carnivorous guests still mention how much they enjoyed it!) Having a true farm to table experience was everything we could have hoped for and more. On top of that, choosing Farmstead meant that we got so much more than a delicious, ethical meal and fun beverages. I gave Kirsten little to no direction with our florals, besides a dozen or so pictures of flowers that I liked. What she came up with was honestly perfect - everything I never knew how to describe and SO much better than any of the random images I had added to my Pinterest board. On top of it all, we had a backyard wedding on top of a literal mountain. The logistics were no joke, and they were so incredibly helpful throughout the planning process - from figuring out what we needed for rentals to visiting the site on a holiday weekend to determine the best layout for our big day. Overall, we are so thankful for them and cannot recommend them highly enough.

From navigating a global pandemic to crafting the best food our guests are still raving about months later, Farmstead Catering is a best kept secret in the farm-to-table catering world...but not for long!

This future James Beard Award and Michelin Star winning team put on a show with their open flame cooking on the shore of an ADK lake, and the food was incredible!

Farmstead created a hyper-local charcuterie board, fresh salads and grilled vegetables, steak and more. Every bite was amazing. Then there was the grilled sourdough bread with herbed butter...OMG!

Dillon, Taylor, Jori, Emily and co. were a pleasure to work with in the ~2 years leading up to the event (COVID delayed original date), as well as the weekend of the event.

From helping setting up decorations and table settings, to corralling guests from one area to another, to managing the rentals, everything went incredibly smoothly thanks to Farmstead.

Now we spend our waking hours devising of the next potential party where we'd have an excuse to hire Farmstead. Hoping that day comes soon!!!

Echo Farm now holds a very special place in my wife and I's hearts. Dillon and his team are amazing human beings who are doing something truly incredible with their farm. They were so fun to work with and completely blew past any and all expectations we had! We were shocked at how carefully every ingredient was grown and the quality of the outcome. It was by far the best meal we have ever had, which pains me to say, as we probably won't have another meal that good in quite a long time or until we return here again. Some particular highlights were the beautiful, fresh flowers and bouquets decorating the tables. The crisp greens picked that morning for the salad with the locally made feta cheese. Their hand-churned chive butter with Taylor's bread SLAPPED! Oh my god that bread! Their charcuterie board with their own cured meats and goat cheese made down the road. This goat cheese was so fresh it had the consistency of brie. We were fortunate enough to be there during 'shroom season and the foraged morels were a deliciously indulgent delicacy to pair with their polenta and farm raised steak. Taylor also foraged some oyster mushrooms and sautéed them so perfectly they tasted like pancetta. Dessert delivered the final blessing of maple panna cotta made with their own maple syrup tapped from trees on the farm. Dillon, Jori, Taylor, and the rest of the team: THANK YOU!! We can not thank you enough for the lifelong memories you brought to us and our palates. We so very much appreciate all the hard work you put in to making our special weekend special and one we won't ever forget

Farmstead Catering truly provides a wedding experience unlike any other. We were so impressed by Dillon's love for creating incredible food literally from the ground up. After booking with the team and picking our menu we had the incredible experience of traveling to the farm to see where all of the food is grown. Nearly every ingredient for the wedding is grown on site. We got to see the garlic, seedlings for herbs, greens, chickens, cows, vegetables and all other food growing. We traveled with our wedding venue owner and it is an experience we will ever forget.

Farmstead's commitment to sustainable events and dedication to perfecting their food is incredible. The wedding industry can create so much food waste and Dillon's commitment to reducing that waste means so much to us.

The food was also unbelievable! Our guests raved about it. We opted to serve family style and our friends and family bonded over passing the plate and sampling everything available.

Dillon and the team at Farmstead Catering and Echo Farms went above and beyond for our wedding celebration. My husband and I's relationship grew and thrives on cooking and eating food from sources we are excited/feel good about. When we found Farmstead, we couldn't stop talking about it and getting excited for them to be the core of our wedding celebration. Being able to do our tasting on the farm was an incredible experience. It was amazing to see the fields where the food was growing and the animals grazing. It took "farm to table" to a whole new level. When collaborating on a menu the entire team was really receptive and open to our feedback and what we had envisioned for the event. From the first communication to the actual event, Dillon and his team shared the same excitement as we did for our wedding and that felt really special to us. Our wedding was not in the most convenient spot, requiring some traversing across a river and footbridge, but the whole staff was so dynamic and positive and truly wonderful to work with. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to work with Farmstead. Our food for 175 guests was outstanding. Everything tasted like it did at our tasting for 10 guests. It was incredible. The entire team truly went above and beyond for our event and we feel so lucky that we had the opportunity to work with Farmstead. We will be talking about the food at our wedding for years to come! It was *that* good!!
