Superb lean cut pastrami sandwich on Rye with mustard on the side. So tender and melt in your mouth. Did not disappoint. They bring you a small bucket of sour kraut and whole pickles for the table to start with. Try the matzo ball soup as an appetizer. A monster size matzo ball is pillowy and flavorful in chicken broth.

Friendly service in a casual, family oriented atmosphere.

I'm never disappointed when I come to this cozy little restaurant. Great food, huge portions. We always get GIGANTIC sandwiches and fries, as you can see! The soup is also very good. They also have a well stocked deli counter to order all you favorites to take out. I love this place! It's on top of my restaurant list for sure.

The matzo ball soup was great. The chicken soup was flavorful and the matzo ball was pleasantly dense.

I would highly recommend the sandwiches when you come here. Like any Jewish deli they’re piled high with meat. A little pricy but with kosher meat that is to be expected. The pastrami was about $19.

Also the complementary pickles and coleslaw are always delicious.

My visit to Zan’s in Lake Grove was an absolute delight! The hot pastrami sandwich I had was a reminiscent of Katz Deli in NYC but at a more affordable price. The quality of the rye bread was superb—soft and flavorful. The staff was friendly, and the service was remarkably fast, ensuring I had a wonderful dining experience. Zan’s provides the full essence of a kosher restaurant in Long Island. Highly recommend for great food and fantastic service!

Great service, fast and really polite and helping (not a given these days). The food was average, but the matzo ball was fluffy and nice. Barley mushroom soup was fine but hardly saw mushrooms in there. Pastrami was fine, as in many deli, they pack the meat but it comes at a steep price.

I only liked the soup. Mushroom barley. The pastrami sandwich I had wasn't what I'm use to. Meat sliced too thick, and I'm just guessing it was either in a steam pan or they microwaved it, but it had the consistency of a fruit roll-up made of rubber.

The place looked clean and the service was good. Maybe their other food is good but I wouldn't know. I was passing through for work and this spot was recommended.

ordered a Day After thanksgiving turkey stuffing cranberry on a roll with mayo salt and pepper it was $27 was told it weighed alot it was the smallest hero less then 6 inches in length OVERPRICED !!!!!!
will never order from here again
