The one in Wading River I would rate a 3 1/2 stars. I go there because it is convenient and has basically what you need. The one in Center Moriches is new, clean and very nice but it’s not convenient for me due to the distance. One disadvantage of all King Kullen stores is they are expensive. So i do my weekly shopping at Shop Rite

It's always a pleasure to shop at KK's Wading River store, especially this morning at the self-checkout station. The pony-tailed woman there was so cheerful, helpful, and friendly, she should be KK's official welcome ambassador!

Superb customer service with a smile. The whole store was very tidy, all items were well stocked, organized properly as one would expect from a supermarket. The prices were competitive and the check-out was simple and fast. Definitely a friendly neighborhood market 🛒

I’d like to know WHERE this supermarket gets off pricing organic strawberries at 12.00 a package!!! (Med size) when every other supermarket in the area INCLUDING Whole Foods has the same size, organic, at HALF that price?! They also markup other brands over normal retail. I don’t get it. People will likely not buy these strawberries and they’ll just rot! Produce here is also questionable and so is meat! I stopped shopping here years ago bc we would frequently get bad meat. Every once in a while we come for minor things and I am always disappointed at the insane high prices, the selection and poor produce quality.

Went food shopping and was looking at the seafood dept displays and decided after asking the seafood debonair a few questions I decided to take a pound of shrimp which was on sale for 9.99/lb. (I know nothing about seafood, obviously), as he was wrapping it up he returned to ask I have a little over a pound left, do you want it all? I said ok sure. Checked out went home ate some shrimp, woke up in the middle of the night like I was in the movie exorcist, throwing up and having some quality face time with my 🚽 and 🛁.
I called my father and he came over and asked me some questions, what I ate etc. I told him the shrimp he went and smelled them and he grabbed his nose, I was baffled as to how I couldn’t notice this earlier. Then I looked at the price tag sticker and it said something like red fin tuna or something, 29.99 a pound, I was wondering why my bill was so high but just figured it had to do with all the other items ie. Deodorant, body wash, etc etc. plus I know this king kullen charges an arm and a leg for everything and especially for the plain bland choices they stock so I thought nothing of it.
Guess I should pay a little more attention, or at least some attention lol. Honestly just wanted to get out of there and go home after a long strenuous day and shower and chill.
I stopped going there for the main reason of sometimes the cashiers are awesome and sometimes they rip your head off over every little thing, or follow you like you need to steal from them. Lol. Which is a joke.
Regardless, the disrespect , the lack of character, and lack of integrity, as well as lack of knowledge and irresponsibly charging me 3 times the amount (I also chalk up to my lack of attention and self worth), and the blatant disregard of selling me the last of your worst shrimp thus giving me the worst few days of my life as it was severely miserable and the nightmares from it unbearable. I’m just glad I still have my parents and they aren’t too far away because I needed to be babied at that time lol.
Never had food poisoning before in my life and never want it again! I always heard it was rough but holy smokes I had no idea.
So overall, I won’t shop there again, nor eat shrimp ever again. Thank you for reading this novel I just typed. I apologize if I made you upset.
