Spent the day at the farm yesterday for the Pasture, Meat and Fire workshop. I couldn't be more impressed with Josh, Alanna, Eric and the rest of the team. We spent the afternoon cooking over an open fire, talking, learning and eating. They have something special going on up there. Can't wait for our next visit.

Beautiful property with some amazing, hardworking people. I was recommended from another farm In the area, and it is one of my top destinations in beautiful Dutchess County! The expansive property is full of wildlife, vibrant colors, and its own unique character. Harlem Valley really looks like it is straight out of a storybook, and here the local environment is the top priority. The people here are astounding! The owners, Alanna and Mark, are amazing people, and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done. Events are hosted here often, and its a great place to take the family for an outdoors excursion. It is important for people to see exactly where their food comes from, and that is the entire philosophy behind this establishment. I come here on every trip upstate, and will be doing so for the foreseeable future, and I recommend you bring your loved ones out to this pristine location (but not TOO many; We want to keep this place that way you know).

Also, the moss here is amazing! Yummy. 🙂

I have been here many times. Very nice farm. Unfortunately they are planning to build a conference canter/ wedding venue and cabins by the river. Residents have asked for an Environmental Impact Assessment however HVH refused to do one. You can make your own opinion, maybe I just liked the horses better than cows. Be careful around Josh.

I would implore anyone considering supporting this organization to learn more of what they are doing and have done. Including the initial work that was done without a permit to change the watershed. Avoiding an environmental impact statement. Also the long term plans to build over 30 cabins and a wedding venue. This community needs good farming not more pollution and development.

We love the Harlem Valley Homestead farm stand! Each season there is great produce, the best farm fresh eggs, and unbelievably delicious meat. It's so much fun scrolling through the site to see what new, seasonal, ethically-produced food they have available.

We have done some classes here and a dinner. All were wonderful. This is a great place to visit and taste the food. The farmstand's items are of exceptional quality. Beef bones that have so much flavor and beef - steaks that are great.
