This review purely is for Vera's apple cider donuts.

We had a cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, and powdered cinnamon donut. All of the donuts were warm and it's obvious they're freshly made. Each one was soft and fluffy on the inside, yet had a crispy exterior for a great textual balance. The cinnamon sugar was the standout, but all 3 were really very good and better than most in the Hudson Valley. I might not suggest dipping them in coffee because they're not quite dense enough for that, but that's not a knock against them at all.

Since we had them right when the shop opened, they were warm and fresh, so my only concern is that if you stop in later in the day, you might not get the peak flavor, freshness, and crispness. I do believe they'll still be well worth the trip, however.

We had Vera’s donuts & cider at our wedding in the beginning of November & our friends & family are still talking about how delicious they were! It was the perfect snack for our guests at the end of the night & even more perfect for fall. Dominic was so nice & easy to work with. It’s so nice working with and supporting local small businesses. I can’t thank you guys enough!

Family businesses that maintain quality for decades can be a rarity these days but no such problem exists for Vera's. The cider donuts they supplied for our wedding were top notch. It was the perfect treat to end the night. And people who were too full to enjoy them at the wedding brought them home to their kids who ate them right up. Thank you Vera's for a scrumptious treat!

I was looking for local fruits and veggies and the quality was great and they took the time to take fresh fruit from around the store for my smoothie. On the other hand I was just disappointed that there wasn’t an amazing variety of local fruits, I’m not saying that the fruits were bad, I’m just disappointed they weren’t local.

I don't need to tell you that the cider donuts are the best on planet earth, but I will anyway. DO NOT MISS THESE DONUTS. They have a ton of other good stuff there too, including pastas, sauces, produce, jams, maple syrup and more, but Mmmmmm, donuts. They alone are worth the trip.
