The Carrot Barn is an all in one restaurant, bakery, deli, produce market, local gifts, and garden center. The salads, sandwiches, and baked goods from the restaurant are easily some of the best in the entire Capital Region. Their carrot cake products are a one of kind, and possibly the best of the best of all the products in the store. Many of their products are locally sourced.
During the warmer months they have a great selection of flowers. The surrounding farmlands and mountains make this a scenic spot as well. If you're stopping for food check their online menu and you can call ahead and pickup. You can also eat in and enjoy everything the store offers. If you're going through or visiting Schoharie County for any reason this place is a must see.

Visiting from Salt Lake City UT.

We met some family here for lunch who live in the area, it's absolutely beautiful! There's a full farmers market type store inside and well as a flower/plant nursery outside. The restaurant inside is fantastic, there's plenty of options and a variety of homemade baked goods. I ordered the veggie wrap in a spinach tortilla and a cup of asparagus soup.
I could shop there for hours and the fruit/produce look large and fresh! If I ever get to come back to NY I will be back!

Drove 35 min just to taste the apple cider doughnuts and they did not disappoint!!
Best ones we’ve ever tasted, way superior flavor and quality than others.
We asked around for recommendations on the best doughnuts and many people sent us to the carrot barn. We will be driving again soon to get more.

Beautiful little place. No surprise the fresh carrots from here are so sweet and amazing. Their own vegetables are delicious. There are a bunch of great products available here. From ceramic mugs, to locally sourced frozen meats. Their bakery puts out some delicious treats as well.

Great place to go to get flowers, shop in the market, or get a bite to eat for breakfast or lunch. The flower selection is vast and the prices are reasonable. The grocery selection is very good with meat, dairy, and vegetables, it is nice to see that some of the vegetables are grown right here on the farm. The cafe and bakery provides breakfast and lunch including pastries and muffins. They also have gluten-free options.

This place is amazing. The sandwiches are very, very good. The produce is excellent. The atmosphere is excellent. We come here every weekend. The cider donuts are absurdly good. I can’t say enough good things about it. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
