The Mexican shopping center offers a satisfactory selection of souvenirs, although I found the prices somewhat high. We dined at Las Anitas restaurant within the center; the food was quite good and authentically Mexican. Try the cafe de olla.

This is an excellent place to take your kids on a nice trip to L.A. since the kiosk always have many activities, the stores with beautiful mexican crafts, the varios restaurant, even the beautiful Union Station and various kid friendly museums located close by, Begin with the historic Avila Adobe museum (free) because it is closed early.

Nice historical area showcasing the oldest part of Los Angeles thats still standing, with plenty of little shops and places to grab food while live performers sing and dance.

Beautiful plaza with 100+year old trees. The little cabañas used by vendors were built for the 1980s Olympic games that were held in Los Angeles. The vendors have a large selection and variety of household items and artwork. Free restrooms available!!

It's about a small two block street that has some old buildings, Mexican souvenir shops, and small hole in the wall taco places. It's pretty neat however it's surrounded by super sketchy homeless people and the fountain is surrounded by homeless people. The city needs to do something about it however the ambience for this historic place is pretty neat. You could really see this in about 20 minutes

Such a cute place. I went during the week so it was quiet and easy to navigate. Also has a large public bathroom which was clean. The shops are cute although most sell the same things at different prices so if you really like something shop around. You might find a better deal. The taquitos and other food was great.
