My partner and I joined the CSA at Ironwood this past summer after getting a recommendation from our friends at Whistle Down Farm. It was the highlight of our summer! It was such a friendly and welcoming environment, we really felt at home coming to pick up each Thursday. The pickup days are a bit of a social event, with picnic tables and a rotating cast of food trucks vending good eats - people typically hang around and have a beer & chat, a bite to eat, or go down to the pick-your-own garden for herbs and flowers while roving gangs of happy, wild children play in the mud and climb tractors or hunt for the resident black cat. We loved our summer with Ironwood so much that I rearranged my work schedule to be able to bring the little girl I nanny for with us each week. Ironwood is such a special place, it's hard to say what our favorite part was - but having fresh-picked flowers each week, a friendly place to meet like-minded folks, freedom to wander and feel at home rather than like customers were all definitely highlights. And don't even get me started on the produce 😉

We have participated in the Ironwood CSA for the last two growing seasons, and could not be happier! Having a box of organically grown fresh veggies every week from right in our county is treat enough. But the staff are also so wonderful. I look forward to reading the weekly email where a different Ironwood farmer shares candidly about their experience, giving us a glimpse into the local farming experience, and sharing the best recipes too!

My third year with Ironwood and it keeps getting better! Organic, fresh vegetables every week. This year they had pick your own flowers which were amazing as well as delicious pizza some weeks and watermelon others! The vibe is laid back and the setting is gorgeous. If you’re looking for a CSA in the area, this is the one!

This was my first CSA season with Ironwood Farms, and what a delicious and welcoming season it has been. The bounty was incredibly beautiful fresh and abundant, and the atmosphere at the farm was pure joy, always so very warm and inviting. A true community at work and play. I will be back next season. Thank you Ironwood Folks for all the work and commitment you have put into soil to keep it healthy. This was my first year as part of the Ironwood Farm CSA and it exceeded all expectations. The variety of vegetables and the quality were superb. Jonney and the rest of the crew at Ironwood are so nice. Looking forward to participating again next year.

The veggies we receive from our CSA are bountiful and full of flavor. There’s always plenty to add to our meals. And a great reminder to eat our veggies. We love Ironwood’s commitment to growing organically & look forward to our CSA every week.

We joined the Ironwood Farm CSA this year, and have been very pleased with the experience. The farm property offers a beautiful little enclave to visit weekly for our share pickup. The shares were always a generous mix or various veggies and herbs, so we never felt like we were getting loads of just one item.
We also loved the nights when Halfmoon Pizza would set up for pizzas on site- the kids would hang out and play while the adults got the chance to socialize. The farmers would always be present during CSA pickup to greet and talk with us. Thanks Ironwood!
