This place is your typical small town diner. The food was great. The lady who served us was friendly and efficient.
It was obvious that some of the diners were regulars and yet we were treated like we'd been there yesterday!

When we walked in there were a number of customers helping out, which was rather unusual, but almost as historic as the build itself.
Food was fine for midwest standards but nothing special. We were there at a bit of an odd time and they did have more staff present shortly after we got seated.
Everything was very friendly and we very much appreciated this on a day with hospital involved, but not somewhere we think we'll be search out again.

*The Busser Girl Was the best* *Our Server was terrible* *the food was ok*
We asked the Server to please make sure that the biscuits and gravey were really hot and the Server didn't obviously care and was MIA where the sweet busser girl was very attentive and made sure we had refills on our drinks and also was kind enough to microwave all our food so it was be hot and not have cold spots in it.
We would not ever return to this location due to the Server not paying attention to detail and caring about the customers satisfaction. The only reason for the five stars 🌟 is 100% because of the sweet busses girl who was kind enough to care.

Your basic small-town dinner. A lot of locals for their usual Sunday luncheon. Friendly and warm. Yes, a seniors' special. Sandwiches, soups, and more. For Sunday morning, they had EPL soccer on TV, which have us something to discuss. Waitress made sure we were taken care of.

Very good food for a relatively cheap price for the meals. They are a small business but are a big thought restaurant, they also have really great costumer service and that they have thought this through and made it work. The waiters are mostly nice and very caring. Also would recommend the smotherd chicken sandwich, the barbecue with the cheese and chicken and nice cooked bacon is really good for any accation. The building looks bad on the out side and on the inside they have that 2000 restaurant vibe.

We ate there everyday we were on vacation, twice a day. Food was delicious, portions were huge. Service is outstanding, and the pricing was well below what you'd see anywhere else. Always, busy but very fast. I believe the longest we may have waited for our food was 10-15 minutes. We couldn't believe ever meal came with a cup of soup. Every dinner came with soup/salad, 2 sides and dessert and most for under $10. We had the all you can eat walleye on friday night, again, soup/salad, 2 sides and dessert with our all you can eat walleye for under $9. And it was delicious. We loved the ribeye sandwich, which was enough for 2 people, again, came with cup of soup and potato for under $10. For the 2 of us, our check was around $22 for every meal. You cannot eat anywhere and be stuffed with leftovers for that. If ever in Pontiac, IL again this is definitely where we'll eat. I'd recommend this Restaurant to everyone. Wish there was one close to me.

A perfect family restaurant. I had goulash, and it was delicious. It came with stuffed pepper soup, that tasted just like stuffed green peppers. And dessert was included in the price. A very pleasant, friendly atmosphere. I loved it.
