STAY AWAY!

It will cost you more than $11,500 for this horrible APU in stress. I should of bought a Thermo King, that is what I get for trying to save some money. Do yourself a favor and choose Thermo King or Carrier! You will save yourself a lot of stress.

WHY ARE THE REVIEWS DISABLED ON FACEBOOK FOR THIS COMPANY? Because most of their customers come from Facebook and other social media platforms and they don’t want people knowing how terrible their product and customer service is. Thermo King, Carrier, Green APU, and Rig Masters allows reviews on Facebook. This company does not. Makes you wonder doesn’t it? Go look at the negative reviews on Google, Better Business Bureau, & Yelp for this company.

I had their APU installed 6-22-22. It over heated within 14 days of use and the pipe froze on the second day. (See photos) I text Randy the general manager and he rudely text me back that I would have to schedule an appointment to have someone look at it ONE WEEK later. Randy called me after I had explicitly told him and Holly to email or text me (after his rude text) for accountability. When I said I wanted my money back on 7-14-22 during that call, Randy said, “your not getting your money back, goodbye!” and he hung up on me. Not professional at all.

He will respond to this review and tell you that they did no wrong, they care about all reviews good or bad, and their product is superior to other brands. None of it is true! For example, they say their APU puts out 20,000 BTU’s, well why doesn’t it blow nearly as cold as a Thermo King? If you read Randy’s responses to other reviews he likes to blame the customer and spout off random facts about when they called, came in, etc. he even insulted one of the reviewers by commenting on how many reviews he had done on Google. He never apologizes or fixes the problem. He will probably do the same when he responds to this review. The truth is I had a freezing pipe and a overheating code within 125 hours! The photos below prove that. Nothing he says is a good enough excuse for that to happen but he still will blame me instead of taking responsibility and standing behind his product. You can run a Thermo King 2000 hours in-between services or more and it won’t do what this unit did within 125 hours. Oh and if your Thermo King does break down, you can get it fixed just about any place in the US within two days. With their APU they will schedule you a week out and then you will have to find the time to go to Marion, IL. Not very convenient at all.

I really do care about my fellow owner ops and some of you are considering this place because they are cheaper than other manufacturers. They are CHEAPER! Cheaper customer service, and absolutely a cheaper product.

I really hope you heed my warning…STAY AWAY!

I have had my HP2000 on my truck now for a few months and it has been a decent unit so far. I do like how it's easy to service in most regards, but it has its issues. There is no east way (that I have found) to tighten the a/c compressor belt, the way the coolant lines are plumbed I can't shut off the taps for my cab heater without the unit over heating, and it had thrown a belt off the first week I had it. These have all been pretty easy to deal with mind you and I wouldn't say it's a reason to avoid these units.

They advertise 20,000btu cooling and I'll agree with some other reviews that it does seem to have issues cooling the trucks bunk, mind you Mines an 82" high roof black western star so there's a lot of glass, and a lot of space to cool. It does do a great job however of keeping the bed area comfortable with the optional vent towers at the head and foot of the bed.

Other then the minor issues, I've had nothing but good experiences with parks, from a quick (5hour) install, to customer support after, they have been easy to deal with and I will likely get another unit for more trucks in the future.

Update as of 4-9-25: Got my unit "souped up" today, brought the AC system up to the new model standards as they've made several improvements since my unit was built. Felt like it was a good time to do that with Spring right around the corner. Once again Randy, Mike, Terry and the rest of the crew did an incredible job of making sure I was happy with my unit. Don't believe the haters in these reviews. I've been in business for years and I've never encountered anyone that has their customer's back as much as Randy!! This guy knows these units like the back of his hand, and he will help you if you have an issue if you just reach out to him instead of hating on him in these reviews. Give him a chance to help yall. Kaylor Trucking LLC looks forward to continued business with Randy and the crew and they complete the transition from Parks Industries to EcoFleet.

Got my HP2000 installed last Tuesday, also had them install a bunk heater. From the time I pulled into the shop, to pulling out, exactly 5 hours. Thats pretty awesome, it's a pretty big job but they have it figured out to do it that quick!

LOVING it. And Randy's customer service is above and beyond anything you will find anywhere. Very, very good at guiding you through trouble shooting when you have a weird manufacturer defect on a ground wire connector. Wanted to add that changing oil on this unit is by far the easiest I have ever had! And I have had 3-4 different kinds on my past trucks.

Very happy with the service I have received at Parks Industries. I had a few problems in the beginning but Randy and the team made it right! Would highly recommend The HP2000 APU!

These guys started out having a number of places that would warrantee their unit. I read some reviews when they first started and they seem to be good. Evidently those people did not have their AP long enough. I purchased one and it was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. I took it into two different places that were supposed to warrantee the unit and they would not warrantee it or work on it because park industries owed them money and they were not paying them for their warranty work. Then I noticed the places that they had online to work on the units were all discontinuing service with park industries because of the same problem not getting paid. I had to take my unit back to park industries three different times which is way out-of-the-way for me. The first time when it was supposed to be under warranty I still got stuck with a 700 dollar bill. Unit does not cool your truck like they say it does and it does not heat your truck like they say it does. I don’t know who they are trying to kid comparing their unit to a carrier APU or a Thermo king APU, but there is no comparison. the 2000 has to be the worst APU on the market. It’s a joke. They talk a good line but do not let that fool you. We ended up taking the 2000 off the truck. We had put it on and trashed the APU. Now we only use carrier or Thermo king. Please do not waste your money on these guys.

I have purchased a second hand truck last summer and it has an HP 2000 installed but it is not working. I can't comment on Park Industries yet but I'll update soon 😉
1st Update : I have finally made it to HP 2000 and I must tell you that I haven't seen any of the behavior some drivers are complaining about. The shop is actually OK, I wouldn't avoid them. Obviously they have the right tools and knowledge to fix these units, that's for sure. My unit is 7 years old and was an absolute dead beat 🤦 and somehow they managed to bring it back to life! 🤭The owner, Hally and the mechanics are really cool and quite nice. I don't understand how some of the drivers are complaining about the shop. But then if you show up with the wrong attitude I can understand why some of yall get the cold shoulder. I can't wait to use my newly revived unit! I'll update you on pricing and how it runs in a few weeks.

Fantastic service!!! Called on Tuesday with a few problems I needed addressed and Holly was on it. She was able to schedule me for the next day to get repairs done. In and out in under 2 hours with all repairs. PJ was knowledgeable about what he was saying and the explanations he could provide were in layman’s terms so also east to understand. I’ve had my unit about a year and recommend it any time I’m asked about it. Will only bring my unit here to be fixed when necessary. Highly recommend them to anyone.
