I gave this place a try a couple years ago while I was in nearby hotel. I’ve been coming since then every time I’m in the area and never disappointed. Their Lamb neck is literally FIRE!!!

Short summary: Old is gold, WOW. I first heard about this restaurant years ago, but it wasn't until a few months back that I received another enthusiastic recommendation. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try. I went in expecting to rate it 4.5/5, but now I wish I could give them 100. This is truly one of the hidden gems in the Chicago area. It might be the best lamb I've ever had in Illinois, and it's the only place I know of in Chicago that serves lamb neck. The lamb melts like nothing you've ever seen before. The rice, perfectly cooked and mixed with nuts and raisins, was also exceptional. The portions are generous, the people are welcoming, and the prices are reasonable. This is undoubtedly one of the best authentic dining experiences I've had in my entire life. Such food makes most other restaurants seem like fast food joints. I just hope they expand their seating area to accommodate more people, which would make them even more popular. The pictures and words don't do this place justice. We will be back again!

STAY AWAY!!! He’ll give you one price and up the price by a few HUNDRED dollars when you’re trying to pay and pick up the food and gets mad when you speak the truth and refuse to pay the extra he asked for last second when it’s too late for you to go else where and then has the audacity to tell you never come back as if I would ever come back to such place lol my bill was $600 and as Allah my witness he asked for full $1000 dollars knowing that I always have people over and waiting for the food during this Ramadan 2025. The plan was to order 4 more zabiha from this place but definitely NOT

This place will always be my favorite, lamb neck is my all time favorite. The lamb is Soo juicy with flavoured rice, every time they deliver better taste and the owner here is so humble he knows how to treat the customers. I would recommend this place 10/10

When you walk in there’s no menu and it looks more like a catering place or deli that has only 5 mins to close, but these first looks are extremely deceiving when it come to Old School.
The guy behind the counter tells you the options for the day. Just order whatever he recommends. It may just be the best meal you have ever had. We got the lamb neck. When I say it was delicious that doesn’t even describe how good it was.
