Such a cute farm! Loved that each animal is able to be interacted with, lots to do even with little ones, spent a good hour or so here, and they have a little store for fresh eggs, honey, and meat! The workers and volunteers were all very sweet and very helpful with any questions we had about the animals, perfect place for kids and adults alike.

We came here to work with the animals through our Veterinary Technician program and honestly it was incredibly rewarding. We learned a lot about how to handle these beautiful animals and it was one of the highlights of my educational learning path.

We held our daughter's birthday party here! It was AMAZING! Not only was the staff so kind, accommodating and helpful, but it was easy to access and so much fun for the kids. The pricing was very affordable. The facilities are clean. The kids met many, many animals and took a hay ride around the farm. They even helped us start a fire in the Pavillon so we could roast marshmallows for S'Mores! THANK YOU, CHILDREN'S FARM!!

06.08.19 my son and I arrived a little before 12:30pm( I thought it would be crowded due to it being a “special events day”) a few other families were there and we were told they would get started soon just give them some time. Each section is ran by volunteers and I LOVE that! The animals are friendly, the safe care about their well being and don’t allow them to be on display for too long like a zoo would. Everyone is very knowledgeable and welcoming. I loved that they all were name tags it makes the experience more friendly. My son who’s 16 months had a BALL. He wasn’t wasn’t afraid of any animals whatsoever. Definitely will be attending more often. Had no idea all that this place has to offer. They off AA for males over 23 and they don’t pay to stay. They earn their keep by working on the farm. They also have a summer camp! I’m in love and so is my son! Farms like this one is why I don’t take my son to zoo’s.

Hidden gem of the southland. Live animals and outside experiences. They have farm camps for all children ages offered throughout the year, and these camps give them a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else near Chicago. There is so much more to this campus than just the farm. Check out The Center website for their newsletter to get a listing of activities for youths and adults.
