Opinions

This company has 380 reviews on Google My Business with an average rating of 4.6/5. Many reviewers appreciate the beautiful grounds and the variety of activities available at the farm. Some users have mentioned that the farm could benefit from more resources or management support to enhance the visitor experience.

One reviewer noted, "Wagner Farm is an absolutely phenomenal spot and it is free. It is mismanaged by the Glenview Park district and would be a better place if someone else was running it." Despite this concern, the reviewer still acknowledges the value of the farm and its potential for improvement.

Another user commented on the limited number of farmers at the on-site market, stating, "The farmers market is very nice. However, they have a very limited amount of farmers. You can go to the Wilmette farmers market only about 8 miles away and there are four times as many farmers." However, this same reviewer also recognizes the farm's appeal for children and its cost-free admission.

Overall, Historic Wagner Farm has garnered positive reviews and is well-regarded by the community. Its commitment to accessibility and inclusion, combined with its engaging mix of farm life, education, and local history, make it a valuable resource for visitors of all ages.

Wagner Farm is an absolutely phenomenal spot and it is free. It is mismanaged by the Glenview Park district and would be a better place if someone else was running out. For example, the farmers market is very nice. However they have very limited amount of farmers. You can go to the Wilmette farmers market only about 8 miles away and there are four times as many farmers. It’s still a nice place to take the kids and it is free.

Free! What’s better than that? Great place to spend some time with kids to explore. You don’t need more than an hour or so to see everything but plan for longer if they have special events. They had cows, horses, pigs and chickens when we were there, not sure if any other animals were inside though.

The historic Wagner Farm is a great place to visit with children of all ages. A well maintained farm with animals that are well cared for. Entry is free as is parking. There is a children’s play area and corn hole(bring your own bags). Don’t feed or touch the animals and please pick up after yourselves to keep it a great experience for everyone.

There are plenty of picnic benches around, so bring a picnic and don’t forget to get ice cream and farm fresh goods inside!

Nice little farm, with chicken, pigs, a veal, horses and cows. You can see them milk the cows in the morning and at 4pm. The animals are friendly and you can pet most of them when they come close.
They have a playground, which is nice for the kids as well.
During the week, weather dependant, they do horse pulled or tractor pulled rides for 4$ a person.
At the end of September, there are pumpkins for sale and it makes the cutest photo background.
They also sell a bunch of local apples 1.50$/lb, pumpkins 55cts-65cts/lbs, little flowers bouquets 5-10$, and some goods cooked at the farm with their eggs. -they do sell eggs (7-8$ per dozen) too, but they aren't always available.
Easy free parking right across from the farm.

I have come here when my daughter's were little.
It was way,way better.
You can see the animals up close and even pet them.Today the only thing I see up close it's chicken, The barn was close, there use to be very friendly cats you can pet.
It's more of a vegetable gardens this days and more like a recreational center then a really farm.I suppose for anyone that never see really farm is still nice enough.
Here are some pictures, if anyone wish to visit while in the area .
For me personally, they took the farm , out of this farm. This place is located in Glenview,IL.
