In March 2025, we visited the farm expecting to see beautiful flowers, but to our disappointment, the fields were bare.
However, the gift shop made up for it with its charming selection of home décor, potted plants, and locally made jams and preserved fruits. While the items were quite pricey, the variety was impressive. If you're planning a visit specifically for the flowers, early March might not be the ideal time.

I wanted to buy Bluebonnet seeds and since we were planning to visit Fredericksburg anyway, we made a side trip to get them. I had no idea what an amazing place this would be- it’s actually its own attraction. From the extensive seed room that had seeds identified by growing region, the never ending gift shop that included a wide array of garden themed wares; a winery and tasting room; a specialty food store with eatery; beautiful healthy plants for sale (many natives) AND the most delightful butterfly gardens. There is so much to do here, you could make a day of it.

Did a sweet wine tasting with Sage. He was knowledgeable and personable. I didn’t participate, but my mom loved every single wine brought out. After finishing we grabbed a vanilla/peach swirl and walked through the butterfly garden. It was a peaceful visit and the perfect close to a long day! We’ll be back in the spring!

Extraordinary experience! This place is so peaceful and serene. So many different blooming wild flowers with lots of beautiful butterflies! Also different types of plants for sale with very reasonable prices as well as wildflowers seeds. We got some succulents and different types of wildflowers seeds. I highly recommend for visiting you will enjoy it!

This is a must do when in Fredericksburg. Barbara was great! She was our favorite from the entire trip. The wine and food were top-notch, just like Barb said. The flowers are amazing! After a day of tastings and bottles, unfortunately, we couldn't buy any. Next trip, though. It's definitely worth another trip. 😉

Must visit the Butterfly Garden and Vineyard. Lots of good quality wild flower seeds. Love the store and cafe inside the building.

Beautiful wildflowers with tons of butterflies to see as well as hummingbirds, lizards, and dragonflies. Fun gift shop and wine tasting room. Barbara in the tasting room was great and treated us well. Fun place for all ages.

This place is so awesome. We had not been for many years, and it has grown exponentially. The grounds are gorgeous. It's great for couples, singles, parties, senior citizens, and families with children. There is so much to look at. There's a butterfly garden which is unbelievably gorgeous. Hundreds of butterflies flying all over the place. Also, the staff is exceptionally helpful. We actually got to do a grape stomp, and Mia, the girl who helped us was awesome! She was kind enough to take pictures for us while we were stomping the grapes. Yay! After we had stomped to our hearts desire, we went inside and got a baguette with some of the local goat cheese. Barbara waited on us, and she was awesome! The wine is also very nice!
