First time ordering. Bought the 4 pounds of fall honey. Beautiful dark rich color.The whole family loves the taste. Ordering and pick up could not be easier. Love the fact that it is raw, honey, but it is filtered. Will be ordering again.

Midway through this year, 2023, I’ve made the decision to begin making my own health and beauty products. Of course, with that, came the decision to support local businesses. Most of the recipes I’ve been trying call for, among other ingredients, honey and/or beeswax (or pellets). As I wanted to stop purchasing such items from big businesses, I googled local honey producers and Honey Lake Bee Co. was the business to which I gravitated. I appreciated their simple, user-friendly website and the flat-rate $8.95 shipping or in-person pickup options. Although I live near downtown Chicago, I and my pup, and sometimes my mother, always make the one hour drive to North Barrington to pick up my orders.

I’ve purchased both the spring/summer and fall honeys, which are both of great quality and taste. I’ve made a simple, but effective, peppermint hair pomade with the beeswax pellets. My mother’s a supporter of the business as well. She’s purchased both the regular and creamed honeys along with a few honey spoons! My latest, but definitely not the last, purchase included 4lb beeswax pellets, 5 homemade soap bars and 2lb fall honey.

My beeswax arrived so fast! I love the packaging too. They inserted a really cute little post card in the packaging and the logo on the package is very nice and professional looking. When I opened up the beeswax it smelled just like honey. Matter of fact, I am going to order some honey from them too, because i really like the quality of the product and the packaging.

I received the creamed honey, and honeycomb in a box for Christmas. Both are SO YUMMY! The creamed honey goes on anything, and even raw its great. The honeycomb is smooth and not as waxy as others I've tried. I live not too far so its even better that it honey from local bees.

I highly recommend Honey Lake Bee Company for all your honey needs.
