Ciera and Kaitlyn from Lucky Penny Event Planning are absolutely brilliant and a delight to work with! We hired them to help plan our 10 guest micro wedding and couldn’t have been happier! They provided the best advice and recommendations and did all the heavy lifting for us. The design (specially the theme and tablescape) was so dreamy and spoke to exactly what we wanted and what was important for us. For the day of, it was so amazing to be able to be with our friends and guests and not have to worry about anything knowing that Ciera and Kaitlyn had everything under control (even with a little hail storm right before the ceremony)! I highly recommend them for any wedding / event planning!

My husband and I got married at Ten Peaks in Crested Butte this past labor day, and we truly could not have pulled it off without Ciera and Kaitlyn. Lucky Penny helped us plan a welcome event, our full wedding day (coordinating our photographer, transportation, dog sitter, ceremony and reception), and a farewell brunch the morning after our wedding. We could not have been happier with the entire weekend. Ciera and Kaitlyn have developed strong working relationships with so many vendors and venue coordinators in Crested Butte - they knew the ins and outs of everything having to do with planning a wedding in CB, which is essential for any couple from out-of-town. Throughout the entire planning process, they kept us on a solid, workable timeline that never felt rushed or hectic. They supported our vision for the big day, while also providing valuable insight and guidance reflective of their in-depth knowledge of the venue, our vendors, and the reality of pulling off a big wedding. When our weekend arrived, there was nothing left for us to do. Ciera and Kaitlyn had thought of everything, and handled every task and event with precision and care. Most importantly, they are truly great people. When selecting wedding planners, it's so important to remember that you will be working with these people for a significant amount of time, and it matters whether or not you like the people you're working with. Ciera and Kaitlyn are so much fun to work with and we looked forward to all of our planning calls with them. They became our friends throughout the process. Crested Butte was already an incredibly special place for us, and now we're lucky enough to have two friends we can't wait to see whenever we're in town.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Ciera and Kaitlyn (& Molly!). My husband and I planned a destination wedding from Texas to Crested Butte and these gals made our lives SO much easier. They were honest, friendly, kind, and communicative. There were absolutely no hiccups, and whatever issues we did have with the venue they were present and able to assist in whatever way they could. I felt like everything on my wedding day went as seamlessly as possible and I couldn’t be more grateful to these gals. They even managed to find us a mariachi band at the last minute, which was so special to my husband’s Mexican heritage. Not to mention the design was STUNNING! They went above and beyond and I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Beyond that their pricing is affordable and they make destination weddings a breeze. The best decision we made was our first decision - we called Lucky Penny and had the good fortune of working with Ciera! When my daughter, Emily, got engaged in October 2020 and she and her fiancé, Robert, chose Crested Butte, CO for their wedding, I wasn't sure how we were going to plan a wedding in the middle of a pandemic with me living in Texas and my daughter in Arkansas. Thank goodness for Ciera! She was already booked for the wedding date so we could not use her as our planner but she not only referred us to another fantastic planner, but she also gave us so many other leads on vendors as well as great advice in the beginning and throughout our planning process. Lucky Penny's website is easy to navigate and made selecting, changing and adding rentals so easy. Ciera was happy to share tips and assist with quantities and types of rentals needed. When we made a planning trip to Crested Butte, Ciera met us at our venue and created a fantastic design for the reception tents and cocktail area. Her communication was terrific throughout the planning and during our wedding week. The Lucky Penny staff was professional, efficient and very friendly. We will be forever grateful to Ciera and Lucky Penny for creating a magical day for Emily and Robert's wedding. I love Ciera and Kaitlyn so much!!! I did the full planning package and I highly recommend. They made the planning process extremely easy as an out of stater. They captured my wedding day vision perfectly and I wouldn’t have had anything done differently. If you’re trying to decide if it is worth it to spend the extra money for a wedding planner IT IS, especially when you’re using lucky penny!!!!

Hiring Ciera for our wedding was hands down the best decision we could have made. From our first phone call, I fell in love with her fun, friendly and welcoming personality. She is so knowledgeable when it comes to vendor options and logistics. She had endless ideas on how to creatively cut costs and blew us away with her design board.
