Third time here and still having a blast! There's something for everyone here at this mountain and the signage between the different parts is pretty good. A couple areas could do with faster chairs, but you won't notice it on the less busy days. The paradise bowl area and international are some of the best runs!

The mountain and facilities are great from the start of the day. Everything took a turn for the worst at the end of the day upon arrival to the car. We parked at the main lot, and since it was our first time to CB we asked for information upon arrival to the lot. We were instructed to pay upon exit at the manned guard shack. Apparently the staff is not trained on the policy and procedures. We arrived to a $75.00 parking ticket. Upon arrival to our car, with a parking ticked, there was no staff to be found. Captive audience with no one to appeal to. Thanks a lot CB for the lack of assistance and a simple "pay me more money." I will remember this experience as I frequent many mountains and interact with many patrons. I hope you remedy this situation with your staff as too improve your guest experience moving forward.

This is the 2nd year in a row we have been skiing here and we absolutely love it. The snow and slopes are very good. There is a big variety of green, blue and black level terrain. We love staying at a hotel right at the base so we can walk to everything. There is a decent amount of restaurants and bars in the area. The mountains are beautiful!

While we didn’t stay at CB Resort and cannot speak to their accommodations, the ski resort itself is fantastic! It didn’t hurt that we got a historic snow dump the weekend we were there but, to us, CB is a hidden gem…fairly uncrowded even on a holiday weekend (compared to other big name CO resorts. The only critiques I’d make are: Epic Pass Pricing is riddick and, Epic (the company) needs to upgrade the 1980’s vintage ski lifts because they are S-L-O-W. If you’re going to charge $400+ for two day passes, at least invest in the facilities.

My wife and I loved this place. This is NOT a Texans with shiny 1 pieces and fur collars resort! Laid back and great snow. They also have $2 PBR’s at José’s. You won’t find that at Beaver Creek or Vail. Staff is super friendly and laid back. Only negative would be that they have a lot of non-detachable lifts. But if that keeps this place a skiers mountain and not a glam mountain, I’m all in.

Crested Butte is a more advanced skiers mountain. The local people are very nice and the mountain staff are excellent. I have been skiing for a long time and have been to many resorts. The trails are well marked and grooming efforts may have been the best I have ever experienced. Note that most Green runs are closer to Blue for many places and Blue runs more like Double Blue or higher. But game on for advanced skiers. The mountains are beautiful and never get old. I flew into Gunnison and traveled using the RTA and local bus system. Super and on time. Very low lift lines and just a great experience. A true skier mountain.

Our experience with the Crested Butte Ski & Ride School was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to two incredible individuals—Jordan A. from the lessons office and our guide, Dan Loftus.

Jordan went above and beyond to make our trip a reality, demonstrating an empathy and kindness that we will never forget. When we were exploring options for a steeps lesson, we found that what we wanted to do wasn’t part of the standard group classes. A private lesson was suggested, but it was simply out of reach for us. Jordan understood our situation and, instead of turning us away, found a way to make the group lesson work, when otherwise it seemed out of reach. Her kindness and willingness to help made all the difference, and we couldn’t have been more grateful.

Once on the mountain, we were paired with Dan Loftus, and he turned what could have been a great lesson into an unforgettable experience. He didn’t just guide us through some of the toughest terrain—he gave us the confidence to push past our self-imposed limits. With Dan’s expert instruction, we gained the skills to safely navigate the areas we had set our sights on, and he made sure we walked away not just with knowledge but with memories. He even took the time to capture photos of us together, something that rarely happens when one of us is always behind the camera.

But the most unexpected part? Dan made us better skiers. Through a series of small but powerful adjustments, he helped refine our technique in ways we hadn’t realized we needed. Those improvements made all the difference. So much so that the very next day, my daughter, Isabella, took on Rambo—the steepest lift-served tree-cut run in North America—successfully executing controlled jump turns with the confidence and skill she had honed with Dan.

Between Jordan’s kindness and Dan’s outstanding instruction, this was hands down one of the best ski experiences we have ever had. If you're considering tackling the extremes at Crested Butte, do yourself a favor and book the Steeps Guided Tour with Dan Loftus. You won’t regret it.

We have been coming here for over 40 years. We learned to ski here. We have some feedback about the runs. Since there is so much expert/extreme skiing available, why don’t you groom the black slopes Jokerville, Twister, and Crystal to allow intermediate skiers to enjoy those slopes without moguls? Or just groom half the slope and leave moguls on half. No one is ever on those slopes. We are Limited to International and Keystone for non mogul black slope experience. Also, taking the Twister lift out requires skiers to go all the way to base from those runs. Why not build a lift back that services those runs and keeps skiers away from Silver Queen, especially during busy times?
