The barbecue was not even mediocre. The burnt ends were extremely dry as was all of the other cuts of meat ( brisket ribs ). We showed up for lunch and the meat should have been pretty fresh but it seems like it was leftovers from the day before . The Mack and cheese was almost a slop covered in cheese . The noodles were way over cooked . I would not recommend in the future. the staff is also pretty preoccupied with their devices . I do have one good thing to say about Woody’s Q Shack, they really nailed the sauces.

Passed through Alamosa yesterday and stopped at this little place on a whim. The service was fantastic, the food was great (according to my boyfriend, I don't eat meat!) and we enjoyed the cute classic BBQ style atmosphere. The hanging sauce bottles was hilarious and fun. 10/10 recommend if you are a carnivore or just in the mood for some mac and cheese and cole slaw like I was.

Best BBQ in Alamosa! My husband and I are staying an hour NW but have driven here twice in the past week for the melt-in-your mouth brisket and “loaded fries” complete with diced hatch green chile. Service was exceptional and aligns with their mission: “To serve championship winning barbecue by consistently exceeding their customer’s expectations in a fun, laid-back, family atmosphere.”

Food was excellent but why guilt us into tipping if we have to clean the table? Still left 20% but felt dirty about it.

Thank you for the reply Kyle. Your food is excellent and I was not aware the side salad could not be used a side for the papa Jeff's platter, but that clears up why the cashier went to check (I thought it was to see if you guys had any left) it was listed on the sides part of your menu so it appeared to be an available side. The cash tip box plus the credit card reader makes it seem like a tip is expected and when we sat down the trash cans readily available with the "please don't throw away the forks" sign made it seemed like the expectation is that we clear out own tables which personally just annoyed me just a little as I had just done the same thing at another restaurant in salida the day before (your food was way better though) I'm sure you guys were likely very busy with to go orders as again your food is excellent and I did notice one couple beside ours who were dining in after us. Regardless of all that, my only rant is that with the multiple signs that tips are appreciated, I felt obligated to tip and then felt obligated to clean up the tables when I saw the trash cans and the "please don't throw away the forks sign"

This is not meant to offend you kyle, just letting you know how I felt and if I felt that way many others felt that way too and given your expertise in perfecting the ribs and wings, I felt you would appreciate knowing vs not knowing.

Excellent BBQ! We stopped in during our travel and was not disappointed! I had the chicken with dry rub and sausage, my husband had the ribs. We cleaned our plates and would definitely return when we're in town.

DON'T EAT ANYWHERE ELSE! There's barbeque....then, there's Woody's Q Shack in Alamosa. Glad I found this amazing place right on Main St. as THIS is the definition of what great BBQ is. Championship ribs with award ribbons on the wall prove that this special place has earned it's spot as amongst the best. Eat anything on the menu for lunch or dinner, 5 days a week (and I have!) and you'll know why. The owner Kyle has perfected the art of smoking brisket and pork butt - the most flavorful I've ever had. The sauce dispensing system is good for a grin too! Their food trailer with two smokers in it is perfect for large functions and to have professional quality BBQ at a corporate or large social function this good is about as fine as it gets. Want to feed 500 or 3,000 fast? Kyle does it right! Woody's serves great food without a long wait. They also offer family meals for carry out. Kyle is passionate about making his guests happy and his team is top notch. Don't miss out on a local favorite. Woody's again for me tonight!

This place is amazing and not just for the food but for the staff. They were super friendly and helpful. They served some of the best burnt ends my wife and I have ever eaten. The bbq sauce dispenser steals the show. I strongly recommend giving this place a go!

The people were very nice, but my goodness this was some really bad bbq. I was just passing through town and maybe I caught them on a bad day but it was impressively bad. The brisket was so dry that no amount of sauce could save it, it tasted like they cooked it in an oven.

The wings were completely overdone to the point it was almost inedible. The drums were okay, but the flats were so dry that you'd think it was all just bone.

I know it's a small town, but there are children out there that could do a better job than this. No pride or joy in that food whatsoever.
