They have awesome ppl there,Rebecca Carson u are amazing! Richard and Amber you too. Almas prices are somewhat expensive and only recommended for some short term things,not grocery shopping.

I was travelling from Santa Fe back to Denver. I had just come from another NM town where no one had bathroom that worked - or so they said. I got here and not only did they have a working bathroom- for customers only which is totally fair - but it was so very clean and fresh. The gentleman at the counter was so pleasant and helpful. A little oasis on a long drive through a beautiful but sparsely populated area. Than you Costilla Gas and Grocery!

Great fresh homemade burritos. I will never pass this way without stopping in to grab some. I had the breakfast burrito. Took outside to eat. Went back in for more to take on the road for later. Friendly staff. Owner was manning cash register. Clean, handicapped accessible bathrooms. Plenty of parking. If you are able to enjoy good food. Stop in. Gas, and convenience type food and item available too. On Hwy 512, just a bit south of Colorado State line. Only suggest: a tables or two sit inside. Also, outside picnic tables would be a welcome addition. Thanks for being unique!

Mark and his crew have always treated my family and I like we’re family. Oh wait...we are! He’s got some variety in his store for sure. It kind of reminds me of the general stores of years past.
