I visited both the Cortez and Dolores shops of Kokopelli Bike & Board while staying in Cortez. Cortez is the larger store, but both shops have super friendly staff, offering recommendations on trails in the area. I had booked a rental earlier in the year from the Cortez location and was pleasantly surprised when picking up the bike. Their rental fleet had been refreshed! After setting the bike up, I headed out with a Devinci Troy 29 that had new bike smell and rode several trails at Phil's World. I had a blast and hope to return on another vacation to ride more trails here. Check out my YouTube channel, Marc Plays Outdoors once I have my ride footage posted. NOW THE SAD PART: Being late in the year, all their super cool shop MTB jerseys were sold out in my size. I did pick up a cool cotton t-shirt, but that jersey was sharp looking! Maybe my luck with ride wear will improve next time. 😁

Top notch group of people who work here. I called and talked to a guy named pete, I had specific requirements for 27.5 wheels instead of 29 due to storage reasons,
which had been hard to find they had 1 in stock that wasn’t assembled, I told him I would be in shortly, went in and they put it together in about 30 minutes while I waited, took it for a quick ride came back and paid. There was no trying to upswell me or change what I wanted or the style of bike to purchase like previous experiences at other stores, will definitely buy from them again and would highly suggest them.

Rented a carbon Specialized SJ Evo and hit Phil’s World for an afternoon. Staff was super friendly and the bike was almost new. Highly recommend the shop and definitely recommend Phil’s World too!!!

Reservations, reminders, pick-up, and return accomplished with ease. Professional adjustments of suspension and seat assured a comfortable ride. Explanations of unfamiliar features clear. Riding this very nice modern bike on nearby familiar trails enabled favorable comparison to older style bikes. Our thanks go to Scott at Dolores Kokopelli for sharing his time and knowledge.

Awesome folks and patient with most of us as newbie mountain bikers. Would highly recommend them and will use them again if returning to Mesa Verde land. Mellow amd knowledgeable comes.to mind which I think is best customer service!

Awesome staff at Kokopelli! I started with having bikes serviced here and was treated well. Then I bought a bike and it needed some warranty work, which they took great care of me all the way through. Would recommend to anybody!

Had an electronic switch issue with my eMTB. Went to see Eli the Mechanic. The outcome is that my whip is now fixed. Doubt that I have ever experienced better customer service at a Bike Shop. Thanks Eli...!
