Love Halfpenny! I come almost weekly for Trivia on Tuesdays and it’s always really well done and keeps me coming back! They have a good beer selection which changes week to week, but they are limited on their non-alcoholic drinks. There’s no food at Halfpenny itself, but there’s often a food truck out front and they are totally ok if you bring food in from a nearby business as well. Bartenders are nice and it’s dog friendly indoors if you want to bring a pup!

So the ambience is great, the bartenders are attentive and knowledgeable, and the beer is good. I had the Helles and the Wee Heavy, and to be honest, I'd put the Ale of Two Chris' Wee Heavy up against Great Divide's Claymore or Oskar Blues' Old Chub, and then some. It's likely one of the very best Scottish ales I've ever had. I'll be back.

I play bluegrass music with other musicians Thursdays 7 to 9 pm. Folks at half penny are great hosts. Grab a pizza next door and come visit. Beers great. Home made root beer. Come play and sing!!

Found this place with our Hop Passport. Places like this are the reason we wanted one. We likely would not have come here, and glad we did. Halfpenny has a laid back familiar feel, fun decor choices, and of course, yummy beer. There was live music the afternoon we came, which was a nice surprise that is usually a nighttime thing. Their "Gone but Not Forgotten" wall for all of the beers that have come and gone was my favorite part.

Side note, when my child couldn't handle all the housemade rootbeer he chugged and promptly returned it from his tummy, the beertender was super kind and understanding.

This is our go to brewery while the kids are next door training. All staff here are amazing. We have been coming here for about a year now and have developed great relationships with John and Linzie! So happy we stumbled across Half Penny! ♥️

Great selection of beers and they drop new ones all the time. The staff is super friendly and treat you like family. You can also bring your own food in and there are food trucks and trivia every Tuesday. Check this out especially if you live nearby. It has a very mellow with a lot of regulars.
